Rwanda : My Adopted Home

    Greetings!

If there's a country I would like to visit or go, one country I would choose will be this country in the eastern part of Africa, a country of 12 ethnic groups, a country located in the great lake region of africa, a country rich in culture and history, a country with a fast growing economy, a country being advertised by my favorite English football team with the inscription being put on the short of the sleeve of the clubs jersey. And the country is RWANDA.

The visit Rwanda inscription has really endeared me to the country, though, located in the same continent as my own country Nigeria, Rwanda is such a country I'm longing to visit in a very close time just to see and enjoy the richness of the history, culture, development and economy growth plus their tourism and other aspect of what makes the country a country to reckon with.

Though, I have not really had the opportunity of leaving the shore of my land, but one things that I have really noticed and discovered about myself is to explore a new environment in which Rwanda will not be a bad place for me to visit as it's written on the short sleeve of the Arsenal fc jersey," Visit Rwanda."

Going with the rich history of the country, Rwanda is a country located in the eastern part of Africa and it share borders with countries like: Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and DRC. Not only this was heard or read about this beautiful country called Rwanda, part of what i have heard and read about the country it has a mountainous terrain with volcanoes, lakes and rivers. Seriously, this is nature at it peak. Still on the geographical and climatic conditions of the country, I was told by a friend who has been there that the country has two raining and two dry seasons unlike other countries.

The country colonized by both the German and the Belgian has rich culture with 12 ethnic groups as I have said earlier, not only this, most of the people in this country speak kinyarwanda language as their mother tongue language. Though they still speak foreign language of their colonial masters, but from what I read, much priority is being given to the kinyarwanda language. One thing I love so much about the culture of the Rwandans as I have heard and read is the kind and degree of respect they have for the elderly people among them. Seriously this goes along way in making a society a saner clime.

Also, my writeup about this my adopted home won't be complete without me talking about their economy. In Rwanda, Agriculture based economy plus ICT based economy are what are being practiced as the mode of their economy system. Thank God for giving the country the good eco and climatic system which in one way or the other has served as a blessing to the country in term of their economy.

Another thing about the country is it richness in tourism. God has really blessed the country with many beautiful tourist centre which has also serves as a boost to the economy of the country. Parts of those tourism centers includes :Volcanoes National park which serves as home to mountain gorillas, Akagera National which is a home to wildlife and other parks which have always attract troops of people into the country.

Also, the country educational and healthcare system has really improved. Though face with challenges, the country is really moving forward from the 1994 genocide that almost grounded the country. Not only this, the country Rwanda is operating a presidential system of government with multi party parliaments. The president of the country Paul kagame has really tried in his agenda in making the country a place to reckon with and this can be seen in his effort to revive the country's economy, reconcile the country's warring factions and integrate the various regions of the country together. The president has been in office since the year 2000 till date and he's not even planning to relinquish power anytime soon.

The country is know as a country of thousands of hill and their mode of dressing and their music with their dancing steps coupled with their cuisine has really endeared me to the country and one day will be one day when I will visit the country and enjoy all these things about the country. Most especially their tourist sites and their rich culture.

Though, the country is also battling with such challenges like, corruption and a whole lot of other challenges like that of economic challenges, education and health challenges. But overall, the country and its leader in the person of the president are really moving towards the greater path just to sustain their commonwealth.

I will like to visit rwanda someday.
