Well, my wife asked for a date day with me today.
Of course that means AFTER I take the dog for a walk in the morning.
Actually a beautiful day for a walk with the dog. Provided of course that I have a jacket! The mornings are pretty cold and frosty. However, as you can see above the walk in the park looks pretty warm and inviting.
Of course there was a walk in the evening as well.
The morning and evening walk with the dog is where I got most of my steps.
As for the rest of the day?
Well, my wife had a bunch of errands to run that weren't in town. Get orthotic shoes, travel to the Filipino bakery to get Pandesal and the Chinese food store (Hen Long) to get her favorite asian foods. All three of those things were about 50km from home. Better to that together with someone.
Of course I went. I can't turn down time with my wife. Then again I couldn't do much there either. I can't help her try on her shoes. I don't know the Filipino or Asian foods that she like so I just kind of drove and tagged along.
On the plus side we got to go for a nice lunch at a nice Greek food place so I'm not complaining.
After the running around and the shopping we were all a little tired. Around 3:30pm I took a little nap (I'm getting older). About 15 minutes later I got up (can't nap too long or it screws up my evening sleep). When I woke up I came to this sight in the living room.
My wife, son, and dog all asleep in the living room. Had to chuckle about that one. I especially chuckled when my son got mad because we didn't wake him up for his shift at work.
Since when do I expect my teenage son to take a nap after school?
Anyways, it was a good day. Got my steps in, spent time with my family, had some nice food. Did my stretches, Read my Bible, what more can I ask for?
