On March 4, 5 and 6 the third edition of the coffee fair was held in the city of Barquisimeto.
Los días 4, 5 y 6 de marzo se realizó la tercera edición de la feria del café en la ciudad de Barquisimeto.
The fairgrounds of Barquisimeto opened its doors for the third year to this fair that gathers coffee growers not only from the region, but also companies operating at a national level.
Barquisimeto Huele a Café is the great showcase for farmers, producers, distributors, brands and entrepreneurs. Large and small companies, all had space to be part of this coffee gala that serves as a showcase for everything related to the industry.
El recinto ferial de Barquisimeto abrió sus puertas por tercer año a esta feria que reúne a caficultores no sólo de la región, pues también participaron empresas que operan a nivel nacional.
Barquisimeto Huele a Café es la gran vitrina para agricultores, productores, distribuidores, marcas y emprendedores. Empresas grandes y pequeñas, todas tuvieron espacio para ser parte de esta gala cafetalera que sirve de vitrina para todo lo relacionado con la industria.

The state of Lara is one of the most important regions. It is one of the main producers at national level and has top quality products.
Recognized coffee brands had their stand. They offered tastings to the public, who had to organize themselves in lines to taste the delicious coffee.
I was able to try about five different coffees, but then I didn't want to wait in line anymore. They were all delicious. There was something for everyone.
El estado Lara es una de las regiones de mayor importancia. Es uno de los principales productores a nivel nacional y cuenta con productos de primera calidad.
Reconocidas marcas de café tuvieron su stand. Ofreciendo degustaciones al público, que tuvo que organizarse en colas para probar el delicioso café.
En todos había filas de espera, fluían rápido, pude probar unos cinco cafés diferentes pero luego no quise hacer más fila. Todos estaban riquísimos. Había para todos los gustos.

Several of these commercial brands had roulette wheels at their booth for people to win prizes. Mugs, pens, key chains, t-shirts, coffee packs. There were multiple prizes and everyone wanted to win. Sometimes, someone who had queued up would leave empty handed. Such is luck.
There was a barista contest with excellent prizes for the winners, but for those activities I could not be there, as I am like Cinderella, after a certain hour I lose my charm, so I can't stay late there.
Actually, unfortunately I couldn't go from the first day. I went on the third day and it was already closing time. A health setback interfered with my plans to go to the event every day.
Varias de estas marcas comerciales tenían ruletas en su stand para que la gente ganara premios. Tazas, bolígrafos, llaveros, camisetas, paquetes de café. Había múltiples premios y todo el mundo quería ganar. A veces, alguien que había hecho cola se iba con las manos vacías. Así es la suerte.
Hubo un concurso de baristas con excelentes premios para los ganadores, pero para esas actividades no pude estar allí, ya que soy como Cenicienta, a partir de cierta hora pierdo mi encanto, así que no puedo aguantar hasta tarde allí.
En realidad, por desgracia no pude ir desde el primer día. Fui el tercer día y ya era la hora de cierre. Un contratiempo de salud interfirió en mis planes de ir al evento todos los días.

There were many exhibitors in the sheds of the fair complex, and not all of them were coffee companies. There was also space for companies from other industries and organizations. Public and private banks. Universities, candy stores, sale of accessories, stuffed animals, flannel, etc.
Of course, handicrafts were important. The state of Lara is also characterized by its beautiful handicrafts. Representatives from different municipalities had ample space to exhibit samples of local handicrafts for all those interested in acquiring them.
Había muchos expositores en los cobertizos del complejo ferial, y no todos eran empresas cafeteras. También había espacio para empresas de otras industrias y organizaciones. Bancos públicos y privados. Universidades, dulcerías, venta de accesorios, peluches, franelas, etc.
Por supuesto la artesanía era importante. El estado Lara también se caracteriza por su hermosa artesanía. Representantes de diferentes municipios tuvieron amplio espacio para exhibir muestras de artesanías locales para todos aquellos interesados en adquirirlas.

Cocuy, a drink that is heritage and represents the people of Lara. I saw a couple of stands where they sold this drink for those who wanted to take it home.
For all those who had worked up an appetite drinking free coffee, there were several food stands for people to enjoy good food and beer.
In the evenings there were musical performances and the atmosphere surely became more cheerful due to the effect of the alcohol. But by then I was already sleeping in my little house. I am very boring. I sleep early and I am no longer attracted to late night parties.
El cocuy, una bebida que es patrimonio y representa al pueblo de Lara. Vi un par de puestos donde vendían esta bebida para quienes quisieran llevársela a casa.
Para todos aquellos a los que se les había abierto el apetito bebiendo café gratis, había varios puestos de comida para que la gente disfrutara de buena comida y cerveza.
Por las noches había presentaciones musicales y el ambiente seguramente se volvía más alegre debido al efecto del alcohol. Pero para entonces yo ya estaba durmiendo en mi casita. Soy muy aburrido. Duermo temprano y ya no me atraen las fiestas nocturnas.

I left when everything was getting better for the rest of the world. I excused myself from drinking coffee, fortunately it did not affect my sleep.
Before I left I went over to the car dealer booths. I saw a couple of nice trucks, but not enough money. No matter, it's not something that keeps me awake at night.
The short time I was able to be there I thought the whole show was excellent. I like this kind of events and as I have said in other occasions, it stimulates the economy, products and services are promoted and sources of employment are generated.
Let's hope for the fourth edition next year and that my city continues to smell of coffee.
Me fui cuando todo mejoraba para el resto del mundo. Me eximí de tomar café, afortunadamente no me afectó al sueño.
Antes de irme me acerqué a los stands de los concesionarios de coches. Vi un par de camionetas bonitas, pero sin el dinero suficiente.
El poco tiempo que pude estar allí me pareció excelente toda la feria. Me gustan este tipo de eventos y como he dicho en otras ocasiones, dinamiza la economía, se promocionan productos y servicios y se generan fuentes de empleo.
Esperemos la cuarta edición el próximo año y que mi ciudad siga oliendo a café.
