Recientemente estuve de visita en la Biblioteca del Estado Zulia "María Calcaño", me llevé la grata sorpresa de que se estaba rindiendo homenaje a un ilustre Zuliano nacido el 18 de febrero en Maracaibo, orgullo de nuestro estado,su nombre Humberto Fernández Morán, para lo cuál se están exhibiendo algunas fotografías y dando a conocer los aportes científicos que le valieron reconocimientos a nivel nacional e internacional.
Humberto Fernández Morán dejó un gran legado a la ciencia al haber inventado el bisturí de diamante, cuya hoja hecha de diamante le permite realizar cortes precisos muy importante al momento de realizar cirugias entre otras importantes funciones. En Venezuela y en especial en el Zulia nos sentimos muy orgullosos de este ilustre científico reconocido a nivel internacional, los invito a visitar la biblioteca María Calcaño y ver esta pequeña pero significativa exposición en homenaje al mes de su nacimiento.
