Happy lovely monday my people. I hope first sunday in the year 2025 was good to you and your family. Well i thank Abba father for a beter yesterday.
My small boy was like mummy i need a ball and me like this i dont love stress and i did not also want him to disturb me with his cries because that boy can cry for africa. Sometimes i wounder if i actually cried like that. All the same i made him a small ball using wool so that he will allow me rest while i will be buying in the real ball soon.
It was not that difficult making this ball but a lot of tactic was being used to make it to reality. It may look simple from the making but i promise it was not that simple for me being that it was my first time making it.
First of all the colour combination that i used was kind of difficult to determind but i just had to use the red and white colour to make it. Another important thing is that this ball can serve another purpose apart from my child using it to play with his little brother.
Here are the steps that i used to make the ball as well as the materials used.
Knitting pin
White wool
Red wool
Scissors.
I will be staring with assembling of my materials into one place so that i will not be rooming around to look for any materials while i start making the ball.
I will start with using the knitting pin to do a chain. And this chain will consist of 30 single crochet.
I will start with the red wool.
I will repeat by doing another 30 double crochet on the chain so that the red wool will come out.
I will switch the colour to that of the white wool so that i can also continue with making another 30 double crochet on top of the red double crochet. I will reapeat the white colour by making it two rows .
I will switch again to the red wool and make another 30 double crochet and double up again by doing another 30 double corchet from there i will switch to the next colour which is the white colour.
I will go with the white colour by doing another 30 double crochet on top of the white double crochet. I will make it two times and then switch it to the red colour again.
The switching of the colour will be done 10 times of which that will give me a perfect size of what i want..
Since the red colour wool was only 30 double crochet at the initial stage i will have to finishe the crochet work with the white wool so that it will be of equal sides .
I will fold it together and then used the red wool to zeal it and thet will give me a round like nature of the work done so far.
I will put the wool inside a needle and the used the needle to zeal one side of the ball which will be the down side. I will turn it so that the botton will be swift.
I will put the red wool in the midle of the wool in the absence of cotton wool. I will use the needle to zeal it back and xut out the remaining wool. thats that for the ball.
I will nclude the handle for a purpose of key holder of which i will remove it. It was just an example.
Tadaaaaa this is my ball ready for my boy to use and play.
