Depression is not a good experience, it's hitting some people so hard to the point of thinking about ending their own life (committing suicide). Personally I've once been a victim but thank God it didn't take much time before I found solution to it but, I have a friend whose case was more serious. My friend use to work with an Estate management firm, a private firm company. He was doing fine and after a while, him and his fiancee thought of settling down, the wife was a teacher and also an apprentice, still learning fashion design. Both of them were doing just fine not until the firm where the husband works starts having issues with the government, they ran into a huge debt and with this they need to start letting go of some staff, my friend was one of those staff they were laid off.

Trust me it's not funny, and I don't even pray something like this happen to my enemy not to talk of a friend, you know how frustrating it can be for a man and not just a man, a married man to lose his job at a very critical time like that, just few months after wedding, the wife as already pregnant, responsibilities are already becoming double yet he lost his job at this time, where will he start from. No matter how strong you can be, with this kind of situation, it will surely move you. Imagine someone that has been providing for the family before but suddenly could no longer do that. To make matters worse, things were becoming hard as inflation sets in, the prices of things began to skyrocket day by day and also cost of living.
Imagine you're assisting someone to carry his load and suddenly the person just leave the load to you all alone, that's just the how the whole thing looks like, the wife is only a helper, an assistant but now the whole load of the family is on her, every day and night this young man keeps thinking, how much does a teacher (the wife) earn that will be enough to cater for the family.
Fortunately we're a group of four, my friend and I with two other men, it's one of those times our friend needs us the most, so we also do our best to support him in his trying moment by assisting him with funds and also help him get another job, on many occasions we need to take him out by force so as to cool his head. Few months later, he was able to get another job and was back to being the normal person we know, we're glad our friendship became interesting again.

During all this, I learnt a very great lesson, first looking at his wife how she was of great support to her husband when he lost his job, if it was a woman that doesn't care, she might be using his weakness against him and thereby making life unbearable for him, some will even pack out of the house, because they can't endure. on the other hand I also think the man himself has been a good husband to the wife before the incident and that's why the wife also reciprocate the love.
I learnt that marrying a beautiful wife alone is not enough but marrying a woman that will be supportive and one that's ready to build with you. To some ladies now, there's nothing like for better for worse, it's only for better, when it's getting worse they pack their bags. As a man we need to marry a wife that's understanding and ready to build with you through thick and thin, a woman that's also up and doing not a full house wife. Because if the wife was a full house wife, the family would have been doomed during the incident.
I'm just so happy that they are both doing well now.
