Hello Splinter nerds
Many tips help in building your deck, winning battles, and earning more on Splinterlands, in my last Splinterlands post, I mentioned that I have started investing in gold cards so my earnings can increase... Gold cards are the best when it comes to gameplay or any other thing you do on splinter lands but it comes at a cost { more expensive than normal foil]
In most of my battles, you will see one or two gold cards in the team now which is because I focus more on buying the ones I used the most because of lack of enough funds to get all at once so as a player still trying to build your deck, focus on getting your favorite monsters and summoner rather than just buying whatever you see, this will keep you in form in battle until you can purchase the rest.
One thing is having a standard or max deck and another thing is knowing how to play the cards, a player that lacks strategies won't be saved by his cards especially when he meets other players with a max and standard account too.
One of the skills that have been helping me to win battles on Splinterlands is to always focus my attack, this means I often channel the direction of my monster attack to one direction which makes me gain access to that spot and make it a vulnerable wing for the opponent, this is better than scattering your attacks and end up not killing any of the opponent monster because he could heal or use triage ability to recover the lost health before your monster get to hit him again.
I had a battle that demonstrated this strategy at its best, it was a 3 battle ruleset, and one of the rules is that summoners do not give any stats to the monster, so in this case, I often go for low mana summoner to save up some more mana for the monsters...
One splinter can not provide the numbers of sneaky monsters I want to use so I needed to combine two splinters sneaky cards and the dual summoners made this possible, I used Dolfar Darflak to summon the fire and death sneaky monsters and the formation can be seen below.
You must learn not to use this strategy blindly, the second rule of this battle is against range monsters as they will suffer damages when they attack which makes it predictable that neither the opponent nor I will use range... So the options left are magic and melee.
Xenith Monk & Scorch Fiend
The monk was my tank and it had magic reflect and void
to counter the opponent's magic monsters in case he used any, it worked perfectly as the opponent Time mage
suffered some return damage as a result of those abilities of the Monk, Scorch fiend was to reduce the melee power of the opponent, he came with 2 melee monsters. The fiend was also a gold card which boosted my sps win in that battle.
Gobalano Soldier is a sneaky monster from the fire splinter, it has an ambush
ability which makes it the first sneaky monster to attack in my team, and the damage it caused the opponent Naga Assassin
counted towards making the battle a victory.
Uraeus is still my most used sneaky monster and this is because it is a neutral monster and can be used in any splinter, it has a poison
ability.
Silent Sha-vi is known for his speed and pierce
abilities, it helped to take down the opponent Naga Assassin
which reduced the opponent's speed and gave me an advantage in attacking first.
Tenyii Striker is also a sneaky monster that belongs to the fire splinter, I placed it at the last position because it has a dodge ability which could be very useful in case the opponent also uses sneaky monsters.
You can try this formation when you see a ruleset that favors it and see yourself victorious.
