Hello everyone. This morning my wife and I had free time again. For the past several days, we haven't gone anywhere. We feel tired in the past several days. Sometimes we need encouragement. And when we have free time after sending our (autistic) son and granddaughter to school, we travel to nearby places in the morning. And pick up my son and granddaughter from school in the afternoon.
I was drive around the district and didn't plan the travel at first. After that we happened to see a temple that we had never visited. Of course, we immediately stopped by this temple. Because of our visits to the sacred religious place. In addition to seeing the beauty of the temple, we also received spiritual anchor and encouragement too.
This temple is called Wat Pitayaram or Wat Piang Kok. Wat Pitayaram is a small temple, There is not much area compared to other temples in the district. And although there is not much architecture and sculpture to see. But this temple is already 87 years old. Built in year A.D. 1937. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in year A.D. 1999 or 25 years ago. In addition, Wat Pitayaram is a temple and place for Buddhist ceremonies in rural communities in Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai. This is the brief information about the temple that I know.
The interesting thing of this temple is the buddha image hall (viharn). The buddha image hall (viharn) is built of bricks and plastered with cement and painted white. The gold color stucco patterns on the front, doors, and windows of the buddha image hall (viharn) are also beautiful and interesting. And of course, the two serpent statue on the railing of the buddha image hall (viharn) entrance stairs looked beautiful too.
Another interesting of this temple is the four-headed lion statue on the wall between the entrance to the temple.
And another entrance has the lion statues between the entrances to the temple and the name plate of the temple.
There are also two large buildings for the monks in the temple too.

Even though Wat Pitayaram is a small temple. But we enjoyed this temple. Then it's time to enjoy lunch. We wanted to eat Thai food and we think of a mini restaurant with thai food cooked to order that we eat a long time ago. A simple mini restaurant located along the highway. But this restaurant has thai food cooked to order and every menu is delicious. Especially the crispy pork menu. Of course we ordered our favorite Thai food : Stir-fried crispy pork with basil and rice. And this restaurant, free clear soup too. Enjoy 😋
Finally, once lunch was finished, we had about an hour free before picking up the kids from school. So we kill time by walking around and doing a little shopping at the supermarket in Lotus.
