This unit is one that is most widely used. She is an extremely useful unit that even beginners can easily wield. Whether you are using her as part of a combo or just to boost your team's armor, Venari Wavesmith will always be there to be your team's shield at against the invaders trying to sneak their way on your team.
Lore
Banished from Below 3 of 5 - A massive race of rat-like people called venari have lived in the Strite for thousands of years. They are skilled technicians and mechanics who can make advanced devices and tools the likes of which Splinterlanders have never seen.
The venari control powerful forms of magic that they have synthesized from the minerals and mana flows of the Strite. Through their complex field of science called smithing, they have been able to create and recreate many types of natural and magical phenomena from any magical element.

 Protect |
This is a really strong ability especially with a unit without any armor. Armor acts as a secondary health and a 2 armor can block an instance of damage even if it's more than 2.
 Dispel |
Due to a number of units that has the ability to increase their stats, this ability is now more useful than ever. Dispel brings back the stats to the original stats before the increase.
Strengths & Weaknesses
| Venari Wavesmith's strength is mostly on the damage and the abilities. The Protect and Dispel is useful in general. Venari Wavesmith's 3 magic attack is also really strong as it passes through armor. |
| Venari Wavesmith's main weakness is the low health. Her health is decent but still on the low side making her very susceptible on Opportunity attacks. |
When To Use
 Odd Ones Out |
One of the best units to use in this limited rule set. This also makes it better when you think and realize that you and your enemy cannot use Djinn Oshannus since it has 8 mana.
 Equalizer |
This increases her health which fixes the weakness Venari Wavesmith have. It also gives you another advantage since she won't be targetted by units with Opportunity attacks.
 Weak Magic |
Protect not only gives you defense against melee and range attacks but also magic attacks when used in this rule set. This gives you a decent protection against enemy's Snipe attacks.
When Not To Use
 Noxious Fumes |
Venari Wavesmith has low health. Since Venari Wavesmith has only 4 health at max level, she is very vulnerable in Noxious Fumes rule set. Without anything to increase her health, she would last at most 2 rounds in this rule set.
 Unprotected |
Unprotected is the worst rule set for Venari Wavesmith. Not only all armor will be unusable but all abilities related to armor will be unusable as well.
 Wands Out |
Venari Wavesmith is still good in Wands Out rule set due to her great damage but the Protect ability will not help you at all since all magic attacks passes through armor.

Since I had a lot of strong units in this battle, this was an easy one for me. Having an extra armor or two is not really that game breaking but it's still good especially when your enemy has a unit with Bloodlust and melee attack. Bloodlust can easily take over if you let them be but adding that extra armor can deter that by a round or two. The Dispel also counters the Bloodlust allowing you to reset that unit's stats when it gets hit by Venari Wavesmith.
Final Thoughts
Venari Wavesmith is an interesting unit. She doesn't fall off even from the start. With her useful abilities, she would always have a space in your team.
The irony about this unit is that while she can use Protect to defend your team against unexpected attacks, she himself needs protection due to her low health and vulnerability to Opportunity attacks.
Remember, if Venari Wavesmith dies first, her Protect ability will also be gone and the armor she gave to others through Protect will also be taken out.
