    Merry Christmas everyone!!! πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Wow, what can I say other than today was a wonderful day. We all know that December 25th is a day set aside to celebrate Christmas, which ultimately points to the birth of Jesus Christ. This is a testament of the goodness of God to humanity.

This season is also widely celebrated as it coincides with the holidays. Most organizations and firms close off for the year so that their workers can get to spend some quality time with their loved ones, friends and family even if it is for a few days.

Christmas time is my favourite time of the year after my birthday and this is because it is a season of spreading love and gratitude. Plus the beautiful decorations that adorn several homes brighten up moods and make the whole environment feel homely.

My Christmas celebration began yesterday. In Nigeria, Christmas eve is called a "watch night". This is because most people would come out to light up fireworks for hours during the night while the men in the area would gather together to wine and dine and play very loud but good music, dancing and drinking till the break of dawn. The women would be busy in the kitchen preparing various kinds of delicious food which would be served on Christmas morning.

I didn't stay up all night but I was still quite busy in the kitchen, preparing my stew and frying some chickens. Later on, I went to sleep so I could wake up early on Christmas morning. I woke up and started preparing the main dish of the occasion which is ** jollof rice** with some salads and fried chicken to go with it.

I didn't attend the morning christmas service due to the much work I had to do but I made plans to attend evening service. After I was done cooking, I served the foods and distributed the little that I could with some soft drinks to my loved ones. Then it was time to pay some family friends a visit, which I did in the afternoon.

Visiting some of my close family friends was borh a joy and a blessing. A joy because we were glad to see ourselves healthy and sound and a blessing because I didn't not leave empty-handed. Some bags of goodies accompanied me home. There was a lot of food and drinks available that I became afraid to eat and only settled for drinking malt drinks.

Aside the gift of food and drinks, I also received cash gifts from different unexpected angles and I felt so blessed and favoured. Infact, the calls and good will messages were masaive this year unlike previous years and I am so grateful for them.

Then evening came and I went to church to attend the evening service only for me to behold a beautiful sight. I saw a hand made Christmas tree. It was so beautiful that I could not help but take some pictures of it. I think it was made with aone shinning decorative material. Plus the egg lights were quute unique. It was an amazing #DIY naija christmas tree. I commend the brains behind it.

There was even a Nigerian santa clause whi came with gift items for kids and also danced with the children. It was an amazing service and lots of goodies went round.

Christmas will always be a joyous season for me and also for as many that believe in it. Once again, Merry Christmas ro you all.

This is my entry for day 25 of the #decemberinleoinitiative.
