On Saturday which was March 29th was the end of #marchinleo. I was very happy to participate for three days; it is worth doing!
I was expecting #aprilinleo today, after I finished playing splinterlands game. I decided to check for the #aprilinleo, I was smiling seeing the topic of today.
In western part of the world, we know that April 1st is an April fool's day consisting of jokes, memes, pranks, comedies and many more.
I don't know why my friend still doesn't remember it.
Last Year at this time, I played a prank with him.
He was looking for a job in a very good organization. Though he lived opposite to my house; he loved to visit me but I don't like visiting friends.
I was aware of different companies he submitted his resume to. I decided to prank him on the 1st of April, 2023.
I just bought a new router (MTN Wi-Fi) then, I was given 30gb and #15,000 credits.
Since he did not know my new line; I used my new line to call him.
“Hello Mr Soala oluwaseun Raheem, I'm calling from you from Dornier Aviation Nigeria (AIEP). You submitted a resume with us, you are scheduled for an interview by 12:00 noon today”.
I don't even know, maybe he did not check the date, I called her Around 9:00 am.
Within an hour my friend had reached the company. When he reached the entrance, the gatekeepers did not allow him to enter. One of the gatekeepers contacted the recruitment department.
They replied that “no one is scheduled for the interview today as we did not contact anybody for the interview”.
He came back home dejected because he was seriously searching for a job then. He came to my house and explained everything to me. I couldn't tell him that it was April Fool's Day because I didn't know what would happen when I saw how worried he was.
After a week, I told him that I was the one that called him that day for an interview. He was very angry with me, he said, “God saved you that when I came to you, you didn't tell me it was you. We would have fought that night".
Today, I called him and said, Raheem, where are you? you took your babe to the hotel and left me behind. This is not good ooo.
He replied, “no my man! I have a program today. The company I'm working for registered me for a workshop. I'm in the workshop right now".
Sorry, I saw your babe in the hotel where I came to enjoy myself.
He called his fiancee immediately, “hello babe, where are you?
Babe- "I'm at home of course”.
Raheem- "I just called her right now, she's at home.
Hmmm!! Raheem, don't be deceived, my girlfriend is here and she can witness that your wife is here.
Raheem- hello babe, why are you like This? Why are you deceiving me? You are in the hotel and you are telling me you're home. It is not bad to go out but I just want to know your location”.
Babe- “I don't like your attitude this afternoon, don't you trust me? Why will I be in a hotel and lie to you that I'm home? At least if I want to go to that kind of place, I will tell you. It is like you don't trust your fiancee”.
Raheem- “hello Chris, that is not my fiancee”
Chris- you are not serious, your wife is in the hotel with someone.. Whenever you called her, he ran inside to pick your calls. Though, he didn't know that I'm here.
Raheem- “babe, who is with you? I just want to know.
Babe- "nobody, what is it now..
When I discovered that the situation was getting worse, I told him that it was April fool.
That was when he said, “Chris, you are mad”.
I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself from being successful.
