Tropical North Queensland Family Holiday
Gooood day @motherhood I hope you have all been well, it is summer here in the land down under, Australia and my family and I took off to tropical far north Queensland for a holiday vacation. It is monsoon season so there has been a few showers and lightning storms but it adds to the beauty.
Humidity is high but the pool has been amazing and lets be honest, any summer weather is good when on holiday and there is a pool. The rain doesnt matter becausd youre going to get wet in the pool anyway!
Getting around
Getting around has been fun they introduced these electric scooters although they end up being quite pricey at $AUD1 a minute and you still have to park them in designated parking areas often next to back packers.
I ended up spending a bit so just went for hiring a car which we got for like $AUD650 for 4 days. But it allows us to skip the expensive tour guides and travel freely as a family.
Hartley' Crocodile Farm
Our first adventure was to Hartley's croc farm where we got to witness two crocs go head to head for dominance. They're not social creatures and prefer their space.
Lil miss and I also delved into the culinary experience of eating a Crocodile which tastes inbetween chicken and pork.
Little Miss was down to eat some while mum wasn't, quotes attributed to little miss include "relax mum, its dead. You get to eat it, not it eat you"
I really enjoyed it and im sure I could do with the benefit of additional protein and amino acids to repair these guns 💪🏽

The little ones got to get up close and personal with a baby Crocodile and we got a few pictures. Little bloke was over the moon about touching a real life croc and can't wait to tell all his friends about it when we get back to Melbourne.

Daintree Rainforest
We headed off to the beautiful Daintree Rainforest which is as old as the Dinosaurs, yup. Much of the plant life here has been on the planet since it was birthed. A magical place and a great overall experience.

We got to see a Forest Dragon Lil bloke expected it to be a lot bigger but sadly, he was disappointed in how small it was. He hasnt seen the goanna's yet but has been surprised with the size of the crocs up here in North Queensland.
Booked a Car and Heading off
Today after a swim in the resort pool we're off to get some brunch then head into Cairns which is the major city up here. Wife wants to waste money shopping and I'll have to tag along. Theres also a giant pool in cairns as it doesn't have a beach and there are Crocodiles around.
So stay tuned as we bring you more exciting adventures from Tropical far north queensland and all it has to offer.
It is a wonderful holiday destination and whils expensive for us, American's and UK nationals looking for a great holiday destination win the biggest as the Aussie dollar has taken a dive and you get more bang for your buck.
