Finally, after the timid crocuses and snowdrops, my magnificent hellebore has bloomed. This plant is over five years old, strong and confident and I can always count on its favour when it comes to early flowers.

This is a wonderful plant for lazy or negligent gardeners like me. If you manage to find a good place for it in the garden where the plant will feel good and all its needs will be met, then consider yourself a winner! After that, the plant doesn't need your help at all. On the contrary, it begins to take care of your good mood, one of the first to give you spring flowers.

And these are my hyacinths. But I must say that I'm not very successful with these flowers. Maybe I choose the wrong variety or plant bulbs too deep, but compared to the lush flowers of other gardeners, my hyacinths look a little... shy 😁

Maybe I should think about buying other varieties of bulbs next year. As for the depth of planting, I'm not sure I can find a compromise between the desire to have lush flowers and the risk that the bulbs will freeze in winter. Winters have become completely snowless and this is not too good for plants. We need to look for new options for the preservation of plants that winter in the ground. Perhaps a thick layer of mulch will be a good alternative to the snow...
