TOPIC: THE INFALLIBILITY OF GOD'S WORD

π TODAY'S TEXT:
Joshua 21:41 - 45
π KEY VERSE:
For by thy words, thou shall be justified" (Matt. 12:37).
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven (Psalms 119:89).
ποΈ COMMENTARY
As Keneth E. Hagin said, "Faith will never register above the words of
your lips or mouth." Perhaps that explains why God had to say to Joshua: "this Book of the Law [i.e., the Word of God] shall not depart out of your mouth...."Joshua 1:8
If we keep talking about difficulties, failures, tough things, lack of money, and lack of faith, we're only suffocating our faith and indirectly acknowledging that God's ability and power cannot see us through. But when, in spite of the situation we're in, we speak or confess in line with the Word of God, it demonstrates our deep conviction of the infallibility of God's Word. That is, we believe that God's Word means what it says and will accomplish the purpose for which it has been spoken. Of course, our faith will be built up and strengthened, even as we wait for the fulfillment of what God, who cannot lie, has promised us.
We must believe as God teaches us in His Word that no word spoken by Him has ever failed and will never fail. And as key verse says, "For by thy words thou shalt be justified...." Let's boldly and consistently speak those words that will justify us to receive excellent things from God, even those excellent things God has written about us.
