My Take On Local News And Crypto News
Listening to local news is something I have started doing recently. I often feel like we are only deceived on the radio and TV. The government promises things they can't really offer. But with time I understood that news is not all about the government, so I changed.
Local News is the easiest way to inform the public about the happening in their environment, when the price of fuel in my country was shot, I didn't even know about it until like two days later when I followed my neighbor to the farm. He loves listening to the news so much that he doesn't work well if his radio isn't on.
It was that day I had the privilege to know that fuel price had hiked that time. Since then I promised myself that I'd take the habit of listening to the news on the radio seriously since it doesn't cost anything. It's not good staying away from what's happening around us. A popular saying says, "If you are not informed you are deformed."
It's even very easy to listen to our local news nowadays, there are radios on our phones, and all we have to do is turn it on at the right time and we will catch up.
There are so many advantages attached to listening to local news that I can't even finish mentioning. During covid19 pandemic, most of us who live in remote areas wouldn't have known about it if it were not for local news, we would have just seen the army and other security personnel coming to chase us to our homes suddenly.
Crypto News
We are in times when crypto seems to be the savior of the day. The coming of crypto has changed the lives of so many people.
My journey in the crypto world began on Hive and I must confess, I am so lucky to be part of those we are enjoying its benefits.
It is natural for news on trending things to be found everywhere. Today on social media, television, radio, and any other place that passes information to the public, you can't escape hearing about crypto.
One of the trending crypto news recently is the bull run that is expected to happen this April, honestly, I didn't know anything about the bull run or Bitcoin halving but I kept seeing it around. Even on Hive, I have seen a few posts on it.
It triggered me to do research and I got some information about it. The internet has made it so easy for us to stay informed nowadays. I consider it a blessing because most of our parents were not privileged to have things like these.
Last night I was informed by my friend about crypto mining, Glyph Exchange (OG) that is to start today on the Satoshi app. I didn't hesitate to participate in the airdrop and inform a few of my friends too. The Satoshi App has been so fruitful, that people have benefitted so much from it. I think about three projects were already done on it. Though I was not privileged to participate in some of them those who did testify of the benefits they got.
"What I Think About The Media*
The media is doing its job, if not for it, we would not have been able to get some of these vital opportunities and a lot of us would have been shut away from information.
I really commend their effort, nevertheless, some greedy and selfish individuals in the media are doing society harm. Recently what's trending is some bloggers sit in their comfort zones and cook false stories and throw them out to the public.
Most of us have suffered from such people, but with the aid of social platforms now, it's easy for people to get information fast. A little wrong information can cause so much harm than you can imagine.
Left to me if the government will set laws against passing false information to the public, it will be great. Many people got into trouble through wrong information and I am not happy with it.
Well, it's now left for us, since we know how the media is now, we should always learn to apply caution by verifying everything we see out there before taking action on it.
