Mughlai paratha is a popular Bengali street food consisting of a flatbread (paratha) wrapped around or stuffed with keema (spiced minced meat) and or egg. It is believed to have originated in Bengal Subah during the time of Mughal Empire as a derivative of the Turkish GΓΆzleme. The dish is believed to be prepared for the royal court of Mughal Emperor Jahangir - wiki.

This is a snack that all aged peoples must like for its special taste. When the bread can be wrapped around with stuffed keema or egg or something else, I normally use egg and this time I used egg as well.

Let's see how I cooked Mughlai Paratha at my home.

    Ingredients & Steps to follow:

    • Certain amount of flour, water, salt and oil.
    • Eggs, green chilies, onions, coriander leaves, mixed masala.

I have washed and cleaned the green chilies, onion, coriander leaves and cut them into small pieces.

    The process to follow:

First of all, I made a dough by mixing 1 cup of flour with enough oil, salt and water. Then this dough should be covered for 20 minutes.

The real thing about Mughlai Paratha is to make mincemeat, because this mincemeat makes it taste better. So I made this mince with just 2 eggs, quantity of green chilies, onions, coriander leaves, mix masala and salt to taste. Then I mixed all these ingredients together and made a delicious mincemeat.

After 20 minutes, I greased the flour mixed dough with some more oil and made a big and thin patty with the minced meat and folded it well so that the mince does not come out.

After heating the oil in a fry pan, I put the paratha in the hot oil. After some time, I flipped it to the other side and fried it well.

After frying for around 10 minutes, I took it out and kept it in something to take out the extra oil. Then I cut it into small pieces.

So my homemade Mughlai Paratha is ready to try. With some sauce, I didn't forget to eat some fresh salad with it cause such fast food can be problematic for gastric so salad is important.

It was really tasty and I'd say it's a perfect homemade Mughlai Paratha.

No more today, I'll talk more later with another recipe soon.
