    Hi everyone! 😊

I continue my character design studies with some recognisable stars like Pluto, Dingo and the cricket in Pinocchio, but I also drew a character called Norman.

And this character reminds me of the excellent Pixar animated short "Day and Night". Round and simple shapes, very dynamic action curve,...

"Day and Night" By Pixar Animation Studios

"Day and Night" tells the story of a character, the Day. We follow the beginning of his day, all in metaphor, until he crosses paths with the Night, his opposite. At first, they don't understand each other, they reject each other. Everything clashes between them. But in the end, they come to like and complement each other.

This short film is a masterpiece of dynamics, poses and body language. It is so precious and fun to study!

As it is a silent film, all the information should come with the body. And, in addition, with the background shown in the body (I didn't draw it there, I concentrate only on the main pose), it helps the storytelling.

All the movements are exaggerated for a cartoon effect.
And when I drew those pages, I really felt that curvy sensation. It was really satisfying, much more like a realistic and straight body.
