Got to drag myself out on an adventure today, went with some friends to Lleida (at least an hour and a half away from Barcelona), to check out their L'Aplec del Caragol, or 'Snail Festival', and let me tell you how I've never seen a variety of escargot dishes as I have here in this gastronomic event! Let it be known this is also actually the first time I've ever eaten snails, but the one I tried curiously tasted like Bolognese spaghetti, and they've even got some sort of salsa that adds that missing touch of garlic bread to the flavor.
Truly an odd but overall fascinating experience! Also felt grateful for the kids playing and spraying with their water guns 'cuz it was a pretty hot day in Lleida today and it really helps cool off.
