    Radhe Radhe Everyone!

As the whole area is covered in snow now, it's time to explore the area during this season. Consider this as my entry to #winterchallenge and to daily #traveldigest by @wordlmappin . For me it's the best time of the year, you are at home eating healthy food and spending time with your loved ones. There are very famous Pahari dishes that are specially cooked during this season in order to stay warm and healthy. In my upcoming blogs I'll share about that too. Today's blog is about a walk to explore the area around and witness a beautiful sunset at evening. The day today is not as clear as it was yesterday.
It's cloudy and freezing cold. But all these factors can't stop me to explore the area.

    footprints and paws in snow

At some places usually sunny areas and footpaths, the snow has melted. In the picture above you can clearly see the paws of my dog and my footprints. A dog gave me company and he was as excited as me, so togather we explode the area. While walking towards the mountains I saw the tank which was freezed.

    Freezed water tank

Can you guys imagine that temperature here? Now it's 3 degree but during night it drops to negative eight sometimes. Everything around me was frozen, have a look at this tank, doesn't this give you chills?

Even the water coming out of the pipe was frozen, during winters it becomes difficult for the people living here to do basic task such as doing dishes and laundry. Hot water is required otherwise you won't feel your fingers.

    Sunny area with less snow

This is the view of Mountain directly in front of me, the snow here has melted to certain extent as the area is sunny. And here I met one of my friend who was preparing a dish called chikhi, it's a dish made up of snow. Yes, you can eat snow. In Himalayas generally after the rainfall all the dust settle down and when it's snows, it's free from all the dust out there in the environment. This dish is prepared by using basic spices available at home and snow is collected from clean places such as the roof of the house.

I crossed the road covered with snow and there were very few people out at this time. I hardly met anyone. The road was looking surreal and it felt great walking here.

Finally I reached the spot and the sunset view from here first magnificent. The whole sky turn into different colours of red orange and pink. I don't remember when I saw this beautiful sky last time and that too during winters. Have a look at the view of sunset from here. Amazing, isn't it?

In my previous log I have mentioned about the area as its famous for example production and exports of Apple. So everywhere you will see Apple orchids and snowfall is must for the better yield and production.People of this area enjoy snowfall and celebrate it by preparing dishes, sweets and they also sing local Pahari songs. Everybody here face difficulty regarding electricity but they also have their backup with them in which includes solar bulb and solor whater heater. All thanks to the technology and advancement in science cause of which people of a remote village like Sheel can enjoy their lives even in different snowy days. That's all for today's blog, you enjoyed.
