Gardening rocks!

I love gardening. Growing food and flowers in my own yard is a pleasure, and an important skill. Come along for an update of my progress in the garden this Spring!

Those are just some rocks I pulled out of the garden while working the soil over the past few weeks. I have another big bucket I collected last year. But this post isn't about rocks!

First, an update on the Reclining Buddha seeds I germinated a few days ago. They were ready to go into soil, so I prepared 8 cups full of it:

Into the center of each cup went one newborn seedling:

And a dome will be used to keep things moist for the first little while.

Out in the garden, the apple tree is coming to life:

Not every crop I planted early is coming up. Some probably got frozen to death with overnight frosts recently. But the green peas are doing well!

The spinach is also getting started:

Looks like it will be a good year for garlic, if I can keep them damp. Here's a couple looking quite thick, especially for this early in the season:

I ended up with a few clusters like this, with several growing together from a bulb:

Speaking of bulbs, the daffodils are really pretty right now. We have a total of 18 in bloom at the moment.

You can see several of them down the left side of today's yard update photo...

All photos, as usual, were taken by me. I use a Canon Powershot Digital Elph camera that is almost 20 years old. With some help from Nature, I manage to crank out the occasional aesthetic capture.

Thanks for checking out my garden. Until the next update, all the best!

    Grow in peace.
