Hello friends. Hope you all are doing well.
On a cold December morning, four of us friends set out on a memorable road trip from Jaisalmer to Longewala.
At 5 am, we set off from Jaisalmer towards Longewala. The city was still enveloped in the quiet silence of dawn. The roads stretched endlessly into this desert.
The sky began to light up. As the sun rose above the horizon, it transformed the landscape into shades of orange and gold. It was the perfect time to capture the serenity of the desert at sunrise.
As we moved ahead, the beauty of the desert evolved.
Along the way, we saw mud houses.
Simple yet sturdy structures made of mud with grass thatched roofs. These houses blended seamlessly with the desert landscape and were a result of the ingenious ways the locals adapted to the arid climate. On the way, we encountered a different kind of traffic. Goats. Herds of the little ones were strolling merrily on the roads. This moment of rural charm is a pleasant reminder of how attached people here are to their land and livestock.
That is all for today's blog. I will share more pictures of Longewala Border with you all in my next blog.
