In recent times there are many Christmas songs that have become a modulation of the original one. The Christmas song we were used to as kids was the usual

We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Good tidings we bring to you and your kin,
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

But presently there are different kinds of Christmas songs that have originated from different indigenous backgrounds. Some foreign Christmas songs include :Silent Night, All I Want for Christmas Is You, O Holy Night, Jingle Bella and Feliz Navidad. We were taught these songs in school and in church that we became so accustomed to them. During the yuletide period, the tvs and radio stations would play them non stop and it excited us as kids.

This year however, funke Akindele, a renowned actor, comedian and director in Nigeria formed a team of actors that made a Christmas song that is melodious and unique. I say it is unique because there was the infusion of different languages, the used English, pidgin, igbo, yoruba to pass across the message.

The song started with an intro rendered by Bisola, an actress in Nigeria and a musician as well, truly Christmas is one of most people's favorite time of the year that we all look forward to, because of the celebrations, love families, food and decorations, it's always so beautiful.

Christmas, my favorite time of the year (Time of the year)
When the jollof is always sweeter and the chicken is always bigger
Wait, but remember, yes remember (Just remember)
Love is the bottom line at Christmas time

The chorus of the song is been play all over the country and used as sound for tiktok videos, Instagram and Facebook as well.

    Christmas always bring us together
Come every December, we party like never before
Harmattan cannot stop us never, no matter the weather we go gather sing
Hark! the herald angels sing, glory to the new born king
Kérésìmesì dé, ibanuje kò ni wo'le wá
So let's love each other, and party like never before
    Christmas always bring us together
    Christmas always bring us together
