Twitter Post Legend: If You Scroll Down Long Enough, You'll See Real People

I like twitter. It helps me follow up on some artists I discover from my manga reading. It's also a place where I get exposure to woke drama on anime and games firsthand. But the damn bots on that place made it difficult to enjoy genuine human interactions.

    Twitter Post Anatomy:

    X Content Posted

    Unrelated meme / video
    Unrelated meme / video
    Unrelated OnlyFans promotion
    Promoted Ads
    Unrelated meme / video
Rinse and repeat the above content then stop after 1 km.
Find a tweet made by a real human. If you struck a vein of genuine human interactions, you already scrolled a lot of seconds or minutes of your life you can't take back.

It's a farm for impressions. Bots or people tweet under another popular account because their tweets get views and that trickles down under the comment section. It doesn't matter whether it's relevant, if your view adds to their impression counter, it's done. I'm not sure if it's even worth the count but since a lot of this spam accounts exists, it must be worthwhile.

I had some guilty pleasure at pressing the block button on these spam accounts. After doing it till I lost count, I noticed a significant drop in the amount of time I needed to scroll whenever. These bots only serve to spam and farm impressions in the hopes the accounts can monetize their tweets. I think you need like 5 million impressions for an average of 3 months to get a small share of X's ad revenue program? not sure, don't quote me on that. I think that's the rationale why these accounts look desperate for attention. You don't need that many impressions to start earning from the shitposts on Hive.

    My unpopular opinion:

There's no problem with the lack of engagement on content. Creators need to earn their audience before they can whine about zero engagement. If people like something and want to further engage with what they like, you don't need to tell them to do anything because they'll take initiative on their own. It's the same thing for all the videos you see on Youtube, tweets, tiktok vids, IG posts and etc, not all content you see can make you comment on them or even press like.

    AI assisted comments:

Say something like an auto-comment bot using AI as a form of engagement is going to do the platform a favor?

How does anyone feel when they receive an automated greeting or a comment that sounds like it was made by a bot? even if there was a really a human behind being assisted by AI, it's poor public relations in building an account.

I know some of the comments I received on some posts are just people using AI assisted responses but here's a small upvote for trying.

I prefer not receiving any comments on my posts if it meant having a peace of mind from the notifications that someone bothered only to read beep boop bop how you doin? great!

There are just days when I wish I don't end up logging in on Hive in the wrong mood and take it out on a person that's been chronically giving the same paraphrased comments. I read the comments, and check out the person's comment section as well, it's a damn habit of curating.

To what value some of these users think they're providing with generic comments that hit off the mark from the content? Doubt they even read the post to begin with.

This shitpost isn't written with AI assist cuz I em 2o smert for dat yo.

    Thanks for your time.
