Hello Hive gamers!
First of all, I want to say a huge thank you for the support you gave to my last post about Papers Please, I never thought I would reach that number in such a short time, it didn't get many comments but it did get a lot of votes.
I wanted to tell you about another game that I've been playing but I wasn't sure if I wanted to make a post about it, its name is Hollow Knight.
I wanted to play this game because of a recommendation from my dad and my brother, they also play video games to a lesser extent but I saw that they were glued to the screen lately and it was because of this game
also because in a few months the sequel of this one will come out and it seems that it will be excellent, so he told me to come here and complete it so that I would be ready to understand the sequel
But I don't think I'll be finishing this game anytime soon, there's so much to explore that one day I can be stuck in one area and the next day stuck in another.
We start the game without any objective or without any map so we have to go explore everything we can and discover the secrets to advance on our own.
I don't think a couple of screenshots or a 4-minute trailer can explain what this game has to offer, I think it's so extensive due to its nature of having us exploring all the time along with the secrets we can find that I think it's unfair to make a comparison
For a 2D platform game, it doesn't explain too much about what you can do with the insect knight we're controlling, you just enter the cave and find out the controls to attack to advance as far as you can, until you reach the end of a hallway.
If you can't go any further, you go back in search of another route, and that's how it is throughout the game, exploring different routes that you probably can't follow until you find a switch in another room that does the trick and lets you through.
Everything is wrapped in this halo of mystery, as if we were walking through the remains of some civilization or some museum, knowing that only the city that is a few meters above is the only point on the map where we can feel safe.
I felt lost on many occasions, I fell into cliffs only to discover that there is an alternative route but again I got lost and ended up in some dead end forced to retrace my steps and go back, but in a way I think this is what the game wants you to do
Let me explain, after being locked a couple of times in the corridors and returning repeatedly I found a character in a hidden corridor between the paths I had been on, it is the first character that does not attack me since I've been here inside
It turns out that he sells maps, or at least a part of them, and that if we buy it we can have not only his piece of the map but we can draw on it all the routes that we find and also the accesses to which we cannot go
and so we make life easier to explore the rest of the cave and its different accesses, there is much to discover that is extra to the main objective but I never stopped wondering why our character is doing what he does, there is no story behind it, only mystery behind it mystery
Why do we go down to the caves?
Is there something that connects us that is there?
This game is certainly much more than just showing, it wants me to put on headphones and let myself be carried away by the sounds of the caves, to venture into some area that I haven't been to at some point and discover new things with each step.
I haven't been able to get past the first level, but my family has always spoken so well of this game that I'm willing to wait a little longer for what this video game has in store for me, at least I'll dedicate myself to completing it to play the sequel once it comes out.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SEE YOU
