Your Great magic Is in the Work You Are Avoiding.
We all have that one task or not necessary one but the ones we keep pushing aside, convincing ourselves that it can wait or we can do later . It lingers in the back of our minds, like a quiet weight we carry. But what if that very work, that particular one we are treating to avoid ,the one we resist the most is where our greatest magic lives to prosperity and success is?
Avoidance isn’t laziness, it’s often fear. Fear of failure( everyone has this one), fear of not meeting our own expectations and needs, or even of the transformation that might come from fully committing to the thing we need. But the truth is, on the other side of that resistance lies growth, mastery, and the impact we’re meant to create. Procrastination is often seen as a weakness, an enemy of productivity, and a sign of laziness. But what if it is actually a compass pointing toward something significant? The phrase "Your great magic is in the work you are avoiding" suggests that the very thing we resist doing the most is often where our greatest potential lies.
Why the Hardest Work Matters
I believe the work we avoid is often tied to our deepest passions and callings. For a writer, it may be the book they fear isn’t good enough. For an entrepreneur, it may be launching a business idea they worry will fail. For an artist, it may be the project that feels too ambitious. But in each case, avoidance is not a sign to turn away, it’s a sign to step forward and Go further regardless of whether you fail or you succeed
There’s a reason that our mind resists these tasks so much. It knows that once we commit, we are on a path of transformation. The process will change us, require us to grow, and challenge our sense of self. But it is in that transformation that we discover our power oaur “great magic.”
Lean into the discomfort and the distress, Don't worry about failure and be strong by getting back up after failing. The work you are avoiding might just be the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for.
