My Experience As A Crypto Node Runner

in voilk •  3 months ago

It’s officially my second day running a crypto node and I will say, it’s been a tough and great experience. Since the celestial node runner airdrop I have been willing to go into crypto node runner, not just for the incentives that comes with it, but the experience. Running a crypto node requires some patience and experience, I didn’t know about this until I started running my node. Avail protocol is running a program where you run a node for 1 week and be in position to earn rewards. First you have to mint their first official NFT on the testnet, you can do your research and find out if you are interested.

Getting the VPS and running the node was an easy task, but keeping the node running is another task on its own. While running the node, you might come across some certain error code issues, but that is because, the node was filled with a lot of node runners causing a huge traffic and congestion. But after the node server was sorted, the node is finally running perfectly. Using a VPS means that you are renting a virtual computer, since you are renting a virtual, with the help of smart device like a mobile phone or laptop you can keep your node running from any where and also monitor it.

I was able to run my node from my mobile phone, this way it keeps my node running because part of the reward task involved having a good amount of node running uptime. When my node was displaying a lot of error, I was so confused because all the code they were suggesting I run were not working, but the code my friend sent to me to run started working. Ever since I have been running the node, my node has never ran for more than 3 hours, but it’s been over 5 hours and my node is still running. This got me really excited and happy.
