Simple Rice Recipe: A Quick and Delicious Meal
Hello friends, I hope you’re all doing well and staying happy. Today, I’m excited to share a simple and flavorful rice recipe that’s both easy to make and delightful to eat. Whenever I’m in a hurry and want something tasty, this is my go-to dish. Let’s dive into the recipe!
Ingredients:
Oil
1 Onion (sliced)
4-5 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 Green chili (chopped)
1/2 cup Green peas
1 carrot (chopped)
1 cup Washed rice
2 cups Water
Lemon juice (to taste)
Fried onions (for garnish)
Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Salt (to taste)
Instructions:
Start with the Onions
Heat oil in a pan and fry the sliced onions until golden brown. Once done, remove them from the pan and set them aside for later use.
Sauté the Aromatics
In the same oil, add finely chopped garlic, cumin seeds, and a chopped green chili. Sauté until the garlic turns golden and aromatic.
Add Peas and carrot
Stir in the green peas and chopped carrot Cook on low heat until the carrot soften with the peas.
Toast the Rice
Add the washed rice to the pan and stir for about a minute to lightly toast them.
Cook the Rice
Pour in two cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
Finishing Touches
Once the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked, turn off the heat. Add a splash of lemon juice, sprinkle fried onions on top, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Cover the pan for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
