Introduction.
Happy Sunday friends, how was your weekend?.
This is my second entry to this week's hivenaija prompts. This time, I will be writing on the topic; "Everyone seems to have one idea or the other on how to make Hive a better place. Be it protocols, dapps or content. If there were no limitations, with all resources at your fingertips, what are/is the development(s) you would personally orchestrate within Hive? How would it/they add value?"
I consider this topic a very important one, this is because, since I joined hive about nine months ago, I have seen many innovations and improvements in the traditional ways of doing things. For example, #Leofinance rebranded to become #inleo,incorporated and most recently, added monthly payments for cumulative views booths on inleo (both at thread and on long form Posts) view and evergreen rewards. This shows that this is a going concern and as such, there is still room for improvements.
If I have my way, these are what I would do to make hive a better place.
- Open an online hive market place :-
I have always wanted a situation where hive would become a household name, by this i mean a situation where is used in our societies as means of exchange and payment for goods and services.
To bring this to life, hive will open the market place and stock it up with foods, then encourage users to buy from the store using hive and other hive based tokens as a means of settlement.
To attract more people to buy from her Mark place, the Blockchain can subsidize the items in the store to attract the attention of more people or offer a discount for firt tike users or people that buy up to a certain amount of money.
This if implemented will help bring the real world use of hive, making it a household name. It will also help announce hive to more people who are yet to know about hive blockchain.
Integration of DeFi and NFTs to the Blockchain :-
If I have my way, I would find a way to bring in Decentralized finance (DeFi) and NFTs to hive Blockchain. These would open up many more earnings opportunities to users. This would also help the Blockchain grow even bigger and her tokens would even become more valuable and desirable.Create a shortcut for whistle blowing :-
Within these times I have been around hive, I have witnessed the manner at which some people bully others, either by dropping bad remarks/comments or by down vote.
For instance, a friend's posts totaling about 20 dollars was down voted because he went to another community (name withheld) to campaign for followers during the Zealy campaign, the founder of the community came after her and downvoted all her active posts.
This type of act should be reported to the hive blockchain, so that, the person that is responsible is cautioned, to ensure that he does not visit more users with such hostile action.
Conclusion.
These are two things I would like to bring to life if I have my way. I believe the first suggestion would be very beneficial to the hive blockchain, because it will help more people know about hive blockchain, because hive and other hive based tokens would be the only means of exchange of goods and services at the market place, it will help create buying pressure on these tokens and inturn cause their values to increase in the market.
On the other hand, my last point would help put an end to the bully-attitude of some people, who cause others pain either through down voting or by using hurtful words.
