Today i regain my needlework skills. You might be wondering in which context i use the word "REGAIN"
Let me tell you...
I love needlework it is therapeutic and calming but as much as i get involved in my physical life my college routine i skipped needlework from my life now after a long time i am doing it again and literally i can't explain how much excitement i gather together to made this needlework.
Inspiration
Why i made butterfly ?
Creating a butterfly in needlework felt like a way to capture its symbolism the beauty of transformation, freedom, or resilience. Butterflies indicates change and hope, so it could be that you were drawn to stitching one as a reminder of your own growth or an appreciation for life's delicate, beautiful moments.
Or, it might have just been the peacefulness of working on something so detailed and lovely!
What do you think? If you ever made something through needlework what would be reason behind it?
Material
- Different colors thread
- Orange
- White
- Dark Red
- Brown
- Needle
- Frame
- White Fabric
Procedure
First of all i made the entire outline of butterfly in which i create every minor detail essential in the butterfly.
Then i put thread into needle and start working on the butterfly starting from the orange thread i made the outer layer it seems like i shouldn't said it "outer layer" what should i call it?? Either cell wall adjacent to cell membrane 🥲 animals don't have cell wall don't think I'm so dumb so let me think epidermis or dermis?? I should call it epidermis the outer covering of entire body😂
Continuing the procedure when I'm done with one side coloring i move to the middle body which includes antenna , thorax, eye , abdomen. I made all these parts with the brown color thread.
Completing the other side from orange thread
I add some shades into butterflies forewings with the white thread. For the hindwings i move to dark red color which resembles with brown i think i shouldn't use this color do you think same? Btw, this is click of one side done ✔ 😄
Here is complete look of the butterfly with both sides wings and inner body done. What do you think needlework is relaxing and therapeutic isn't it?
That's all from my side i would love to hear from you about my needlwork feel free to express your opinions. Thanks for scrolling at the end. Allah Hafiz ✨😍
