Summer weather is not a pleasure for most of us, Filipinos. We can feel the hotness of the sun almost everyday when the rain is absent. However, we all love when it's summer time, too many things are going to happen during summer.
The end of the school year, before it was not changed but it will be back soon from when it was according to teachers. The people who went to work will come home for vacation. The activities like summer basketball league, volleyball league and other parlor games. There's also Flores de Mayo, which was part of my childhood. So why don't we love the upcoming season of summer when most people are gathered during this time?
I remember how excited I was when the month of April came. When I was in high school, I started to look forward to the end of the school year. That time I could have unlimited days to have fun and do things I'd like. Well, there was no class to worry about. Even though I grow old and not that young, the scene and feeling of summer always has a special meaning to me. And unlike before, it's me who wanted to produce entertainment to make this summer be fun for children.
It may not be much in terms of money but I'm hoping that I can encourage children to be happy after the school year. My purpose is to make sure there will be activities while children are on vacation. Unlike my hometown, for sure there will always be activities, here in my new home town there is not a single one. I’ve been here for more than 2 years already so I could tell. Just like last Christmas, if I didn’t initiate a basketball league, our Christmas would be boring. So yeah, I’m thinking about what I can do this coming summer.
It's nice to see children don't need to worry about school this time. All they need to do is to socialize with other children and strengthen their friendship. Just like children, I want to have fun too, although this time I'm content seeing them happy. I want to be that person who encourages them to be happy while they're still young. So, sorry in advance that I will be posting about my projects for this coming summer so that I can earn even just a little amount for them. I hope you all support me because I want it to be successful like the last time. Unlike Christmas, there's not much in my pocket to provide the amount I need by myself.

Paul was born in Macrohon, Southern Leyte but currently living in Cahayag, San Francisco Southern Leyte. He graduated the course of a BS Mar-E or Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering in 2019. Although writing is his passion so instead of sailing he decided on writing.
