    Hey folks.

Following a whirlwind series of events back in November 2023, where Sam Altman was initially let go from the company, where he was fired from the company at first but was brought back a few days later, Sam Altman has returned to the board of OpenAI.

Sam Altman has been brought back to the board of Directors at OpenAI, according to the statement that was published on March 8. Alongside him, three new members were also joined, which included Sue Desmond-Hellmann, Nicole Seligman, and Fidji Simo.

Sam Altman was ousted from the board just four months ago and dismissed briefly from his role as the CEO of the company.

According to the report by Cointelegraph in November 2023, the board of OpenAI fired Sam Altman for allegedly being “not consistently candid in his communications with the board.”

However, reportedly employees of the company were not happy with the decision with 505 of the 700 employees demanding that they resign signing a letter to the board.

On the same day, OpenAI revealed in a different statement that WilmerHale, a law firm, had conducted interviews with many board members and examined more than 30,000 documents.

It was mentioned that the previous board hadn't realized the abrupt departure of Sam Altman would cause instability in the company.
