I call these photos the eye test; they are some test shots that I took of my own eye. I was able to use a bit of a different technique than what I have used in the past. Because the live view screen is so good on my camera I was able to use the reflection in my bathroom mirror to line these shots up.
When I did these types of shots before, I had to do them blind and it was a struggle trying to get dozens or even a hundred shots to get a few I could work with. Now I only need a handful, and I think with some more perfection I could get a bit closer and capture more detail. I do like how these ones turned out, my next challenge is getting the right type of light on my eye so I can shoot at a lower ISO and get a few more details out of the image.
