The moment that the Indonesian people wait for every five years arrives on February 14, namely the day of the general election to elect the president and vice president and members of the Regional Representative Council, Indonesian People's Representative Council, Provincial Regional People's Representative Council, and Regency/City which will be held simultaneously in Indonesia on Wednesday, February 14 2024.
The General Election is a democratic celebration in the country that is taking place, enthusiastically welcomed by everyone from urban areas to remote areas.
As I found at a polling location, a number of people came queuing at each voting location.
Before entering the voting booth, the voter first checks the ballot paper to ensure that there is no damage. The ballot paper received is in good condition.
In general elections, freedom of choice is a basic right for every Indonesian citizen. Therefore, voting booths are provided so that voters can exercise their voting rights freely and secretly.
