A budget-friendly option: easy vegan recipe

Hello everyone, welcome to the Plant Power community, which you can also call Vegan. Here in this community, it's all about vegetarians, and I would love to share my vegan recipes with you guys today.

Someone once told me that being a vegetarian is expensive, and I told her it depends on how much she eats, so I would prepare fried plantain sauce. She was amazed that I could use that little amount of money to prepare vegetarian food.

Let's get into the kitchen and see what I was talking about.

    Ingredients are:

    5 pieces of plantains

    10 pieces of red pepper

    1 piece of bell pepper

    Half a teaspoon of salt

    300ml of groundnut oil

    Preparation

As you can see, I didn't use too many ingredients, but the outcome was wow because it came out deliciously.

I started by peeling the plantains back and then sliced each one of them into pieces.

I made use of a knife to slice the bell pepper, as you can see in the picture.

I proceed by slicing the red pepper beside the bell pepper.

After all the slicing, I placed a big frying pan on the burner and allowed it to dry.

Then I poured the groundnut oil inside and also allowed it to get hot a little bit.

I started putting the sliced plantains inside the hot oil, and after two seconds I turned them to the other side to fry as well.

I packed them out of the hot oil when they had turned golden brown as I wanted.

Then, I reduced the oil inside the frying pan because I wouldn't need that much oil for the food I was preparing.

Then I poured the sliced bell pepper and, of course, the red pepper as well into the remaining oil on the burner.

I added half a teaspoon of salt and then stirred.

After two minutes of frying them, I poured the frying plantains and then stirred them so that the sauce could influence the plantains.

I allowed it to fry for three minutes so that the sauce could get cooked.

Now my fried plantain sauce is ready to be served; it could be served with white rice, and it can also be served alone.

I had mine just like that because I have been craving it.
