Wednesday Walk: November 20 2024

Do you ever wish you could post in all the communities you love on a more consistent basis? Wednesday Walk, hosted by the venerable @tattoodjay, is one of them for me. Here I am! Hoping to get back to it, after some time away!

This particular walk was not today (well yesterday, since it’s now past midnight and therefore technically Thursday — I digress) but it’s from a day I never posted about. Today, in fact, I was only able to do an indoor workout. Don’t ask me why. Just kidding. Go ahead and ask. It’s because it was dark, cold and snowing when I got off work!

But the day I took these pictures, it was still summertime, and my husband and I were out walking at the golden hour around a beautifully landscaped city park that surrounds an enormous man-made lake. It was such a gorgeous evening!

The late day sun illuminated the water spouting from the fountain. I always love pure nature, and gave many wonderful trails near my house, but now and then we love to stroll at this park because it’s so pretty.

There were a lot of people out paddling in the swan-shaped boats.

As you can see, the swan boats light up and the colors change as they float along. There is something lovely and serene about it.

The park has many other wonderful features like benches, arbors, incredible flower and grass plantings, and gorgeous sculptures.

Another lovely feature of this park is that it has several wonderful restaurants right next to it. So before we went walking along the pathways, we sat down to a nice dinner at a place with a nice big patio overlooking the lake.

Thanks for visiting my hybrid Actifit/Wednesday Walk post!
