Utilizing sunlight can be very useful to maximize the design of a building. That's why we can use sunlight for certain settings in the outdoor or indoor design of a building.

In my country, Indonesia, sunlight is very abundant but also rainfall is very high so we must be able to apply some tricks to successfully create comfort and security.

There is a cafe that I once visited that caught my attention. There, I noticed some designs that are very suitable for use in tropical areas, especially in my area. But maybe for those of you who are reading this blog and want to apply this design when you have abundant sunlight in your area, then I hope that you can get some inspiration from the designs that I have photographed on this blog.

    Outdoor Gate

    1000013107.jpg
The first thing that is focused on in this design is about outdoor space. There is a gate to this outdoor area. We can see the unique and beautiful shape of the gate with a curved shape downwards.

This gate is painted white so that it emphasizes the minimalist nature of this Cafe design. In addition, two lamps are also provided that are installed parallel which further strengthens the minimalist design.

    Outdoor Space

There are several things to consider when maximizing an atmosphere like this with high rainfall. Especially the safety of the items used as seating or table materials in this cafe.

In this cafe, the chair material uses plastic. This allows the chairs not to be put inside when it rains. This does not bother the workers in the cafe. Meanwhile, we can see tables made of solid and strong wood so that it is not a problem when it rains.

To maximize this outdoor space, we can see that the wall area can also be used as a seating area for visitors. The way is to add seats that use cement and bricks. So the cafe only needs to add a small minimalist table to the seating space that has been created.

Indeed, overall the outdoor space that applies a tropical design carries a minimalist theme. This is indeed intended to minimize the work of employees who maintain the place. In addition to facilitating the maintenance work of this place, the minimalist design is also beneficial in terms of visuals because the cafe does not look full and is more pleasing to the eye.

Because of the application of the minimalist concept in this cafe, the color that dominates this space is white. From a distance, with this white color, the Cafe will look more striking and can attract the attention of visitors who have never been to this cafe at all.

That also happened to me. At first I had never known this place. But when I passed the street where this cafe is located, I was attracted to the minimalist design and it looked Tropical with this area.

From the outside, we can see the outermost boundary of the outdoor area of this place which uses iron material with minimalist carvings.

To further beautify this outdoor space, the only thing that can be maximized from the Tropical area is the addition of green trees. In addition, there is also a date palm tree that caught my attention.

    1000013103.jpg
Indeed, date palms are not trees that are commonly found in Indonesia. That is why even though date palms can grow, they do not necessarily bear fruit. Like the date palms in the outdoor space of this Cafe look tall but have not shown any signs of fruiting.

Meanwhile, in addition to the towering date palms that add to the beauty of this place, there are also green ornamental plants placed in this outdoor space.

    1000013109.jpg
Green plants like that are used because these types of green plants are very easy to care for so that employees do not need special tricks to keep these ornamental plants growing and greening this outdoor Space area.

For those of you who want to apply plants to your residential area, you must really pay attention to the types of green ornamental plants that are easy to care for. You can pay attention to certain types of green plants that can be maximized for growth outdoors or indoors.

Meanwhile, for lighting, there is not much extra addition, we can see that there are only a few decorative lights that are usually used in gardens. There are only a few lights but I think it's enough.

    Indoor Space

    1000013104.jpg
Next, I will move on to the indoor area. As I mentioned at the beginning, the theme of this cafe is a tropical design that utilizes the wealth of sunlight sources in this area. That's why this cafe uses glass material for the walls of the cafe.

    1000013110.jpg

    1000013106.jpg
Indeed, not entirely. But most of the walls are dominated by glass material. This is not without reason. With the maximum use of glass material, of course this cafe will get a lot of natural sunlight. So, they can reduce the use of light in the indoor area.

    1000013116.jpg
We can see that in this indoor area there are only a few minimalist decorative lights for this indoor area.

    1000013115.jpg
The bench and table material also uses wood. While some seats use sofa foam material to highlight other minimalist functions that create a luxurious impression on the overall design of this indoor.

    1000013118.jpg
There is something else interesting. There is an arch on the left side of this indoor room. This arch is the same as the shape of the arch on the previous entrance gate. This is a mirror used to reflect the shadow of this room.

    1000013113.jpg
The effect is to give the impression of spaciousness to the indoor area. This area looks wider even though this area is actually not wide.

    1000013117.jpg
So, this can be an inspiration for those of you who want to create a living room that looks spacious even with narrow room conditions.

Those were some of the inspirations I found in a cafe with a tropical and minimalist design. Hopefully there is something new that we can both take information from the cafe that I have photographed for you on this blog.
