Todo arte es reflejo de la sociedad, porque ningún tipo de manifestación artística esta libre de su contexto, bien sea por el tema y significado de la obra o por el medio utilizado, pues la obra tiene varios niveles de análisis, desde lo formal hasta lo interpretariado, es decir que no solo enfoca lo visual sino también lo histórico, es así como el arte actual esta meramente cargado de desafíos pero también de oportunidades.

Creo que los artistas o personas que estudiamos el arte, en esta época tenemos el privilegio de ver uno de los cambios más relevantes en el arte, esto surge en consecuencia de dos razones, la primera es político-económica y la segunda es tecnológica, pues lo político y económico siempre ha sido en primer lugar el punto de partida o de cierre de la creación artística, en el pasado la mayoría de artistas destacados o que tuvieron relevancia en la historia del arte fueron financiados por su familias o por medio de patrocinios, porque desde siempre el arte ha tenido dos puntos antagónicos entre el elitismo y la expresión social, por un lado cualquier persona puede tener el talento artístico, pero no cualquiera tiene al alcance los medios de producción artística, la segunda razón de que actualmente haya una especie de revolución en el arte, es la llegada del internet al mismo tiempo que la herramientas de creación de arte digital están disponibles de manera más accesible.

En este punto, puedo hablar de primera mano al haber estudiado arte y observar lo difícil que es la práctica de arte tradicional dentro de un contexto social y económico actual, el mundo esta globalizado pero la desigualdad social continúa, en tanto que tener oportunidades para crear arte deteniendo materiales apropiados para una gran obra representa todo un desafío, he visto como el arte digital viene a ser el primer medio por el cual los artistas actuales parecen estar logrando enfrentar tales adversidades, es por eso que la gran mayoría de mis amigos artistas han migrado al arte digital.

No hay limite para el talento podría decir alguien de manera descuidada, sin sabe lo difícil que es tener los medios para hacerlo, pero al mismo tiempo la frase cobra un poco de veracidad al ver como desde una computadora no necesariamente de lata gama y una tableta de dibujo simple, los artistas actuales están expresándose desde un arte que solo por el medio es reflejo del mundo actual.

El arte digital vendría a ser no solo una alternativa al uso de materiales tradicionales, sino que también viene con diferentes medios de comercialización y aprovechamiento del recurso artístico, es algo que surgió desde un contexto actual y por lo tanto es coincidente con las circunstancias de su entorno, así como actualmente las monedas digitales y las transacciones comerciales se dan de forma digital, el mundo avanza hacia un horizonte en que no podemos siquiera imaginar en unas cuantas décadas, por lo tanto el arte de ahora es reflejo de estos cambios, un mundo en donde conviven las tradiciones artística y las nuevas herramientas y medios tecnológicos.
