I love drawing cats.
We begin with a sketch. The lines are messy, but once I get a sense of what I'm doing we move on.
Here I block in the major objects which I find helps me see when I have things off. Like the perspective of the cat house.(Which if I'm honest I never got quite right)
Then working out her details and pattern a bit.
Then the fun parts! I kinda really love shading fur like this.
And I decided that far to much space of the artwork was not full of cat. So the composition changed.
Almost done, I fixed a lot of little details, and of course added a background.
And The final piece. Added some whiskers and a fixed a lot of little details. Still never quite managedto get the fuzzy texture of the cat tree though. ><
