    Greetings beautiful ladies, so today, I would love to answer the second question of the Ladies of Hive Community Contest #174 which says;

    2024 is Leap Year! If you were born on February 29th of a leap year, what do you like or dislike about it? How do you celebrate your birthday? If you weren't, would you want to be? Tell us why you would or would not, and also how you would celebrate it.

    This question kinda got me laughing because as much as I am not big on my birthday and don't do the birthday shooting and screaming at the top of my voice and telling everyone it's my birthday, although I do usually do something different to mark each birthday but not always big, I don't think I would want to be born on February 29th and the truth is I am glad my parents were maybe conscious or unconscious to have given birth to me three months away from that month.

    I can not imagine having to remember that I have a birthday every four months, and truth be told thinking about it now, I am not sure I have witnessed anyone fixed or had any important celebration on February 29th, I guess it's because we all love to have and celebrate one anniversary or the other, so fixing marriage celebration, child dedication, and the rest on that particular day would mean having to celebrate such event anniversary after every four years, lol and that sound weird thinking about it now.

    I love my birthday month, it is special and even more special because one of my siblings and I share the same month, so No, Nope, Nopiy, I wouldn't trade my birthdate for anything, not even for after four four-year celebrations, eh eh, it would be worst on me thinking about it, because I am surely going to forget about my birthday when the four years eventually comes. For the record, I am not good with keeping dates, even important dates, so imagine that I was born on February 29th and had to celebrate it after four years, I am sure going to forget even when the leap year reaches. Lol

    Hmmm, but then, if I were to be born on a leap year, February 29th, and have to celebrate it, I think one thing I would always have in my mind is making sure every year I celebrate it counts, making sure it is memorable and of course big, I mean since I am going to be having it after four years, it wouldn't hurt to make it big and memorable, so that I can relinquish on it while I wait for another four years to come.

    I would always plan to do something humanitarian on that particular day, so every four years, I would pick a place to visit like the orphanage, hospital, or prison wards, and celebrate my birthday with them.

    That's after I must have woken up to thank my creator for life and sustenance, prayed for myself, and blessed my new age. It is actually a routine I do for myself every of my birthday. I commit my new age into the hands of God.

    Then I am sure going to be consistent with the routine of planning a get-together with my friends and family just to celebrate my birthday with me, and take pictures with them for memory sake

    The last is making sure to give myself a birthday present every time I celebrate my birthday as a reminder of every year's celebration.

    So, yeah if I was to be born on February 29th which I am glad I am not, and have to celebrate my birthday of that leap year, that is how I am going to celebrate it to Mark every birthday after every four years.
