On the first day of the Chinese New Year
They held a feast
Celebrating the New Year
They drank and drank
And feasted on a sumptuous feast
They talked for hours
Though it was a cold winter day
The day of the feast
Warmed our hearts

正月を祝い
酒を酌み交わし
豪華なご馳走に舌鼓を打ち
何時間も歓談した
寒い冬の日だったけれど
祝宴の日は
心が温かくなった
