Hace unos meses celebramos el cumpleaños No. 4 de mi primita Emily pero había olvidado subirles este post.
Después de haber pasado varias horas decorando el espacio para la fiesta nos fuimos a nuestras respectivas casas para arreglarnos.
Estábamos bastante cansadas pero no podíamos dejar a nuestro primo solo, él es padre soltero y aunque le ha tocado una tarea difícil ha sabido darle cara a la situación, estabilizar su vida y trabajar en pro de su hija.
Obviamente, cuenta con todo el apoyo de la familia cuando la niña se enferma, cuando necesita que la cuiden porque debe trabajar e incluso para los consejos.

A few months ago we celebrated my little cousin Emily's 4th birthday but I had forgotten to upload this post.
After spending several hours decorating the space for the party we went to our respective homes to get ready.
We were pretty tired but we couldn't leave our cousin alone, he is a single father and although he has had a difficult task he has been able to face the situation, stabilize his life and work for his daughter.
Obviously, he has all the support of the family when the girl is sick, when she needs to be taken care of because she has to work and even for advice.
Llegué unos minutos más tarde que el resto de invitados. Me di cuenta de que varios se estaban tomando fotos, entre ellos mi primo el papa de Emily.
Les tomé algunas para luego enviarselas.
Mi familia lo ayudaba a repartir la comida y dulces a los niños.
La mesa estaba llena de regalos, la decoración nos había quedado linda y es que cada ves mejoramos más en esto pues hemos tenido mucha práctica.
Los niños estaban alegres. Mi sobrino Milan estaba ahí, ya se ha ganado un espacio en nuestra familia, me pidió que nos tomáramos unas fotos y le tomé una para enviársela a su mamá.
I arrived a few minutes later than the rest of the guests. I noticed that several people were taking pictures, including my cousin Emily's dad.
I took some of them and sent them to him.
My family was helping him hand out food and candy to the children.
The table was full of gifts, the decorations were beautiful and we are getting better and better at this because we have had a lot of practice.
The children were happy. My nephew Milan was there, he has already earned a place in our family, he asked me to take some pictures and I took one to send to his mom.

Después de un rato decidieron partir la piñata, pues la fiesta era día de semana y no no podíamos extender mucho.
La piñata estuvo divertida hasta que Milan entró, no sabíamos cuando había desarrollado esa fuera la cosa es que con dos golpes casi la desarma.
Mi familia entre chiste gritaba ''¿dónde están las madres de ese niño?'' refiriéndose a mi prima Inés y a mi, quiénes siempre lo cuidamos.
Yo interrumpí la participación de Milan y desde ese día acordamos dejarlo de último en las piñatas porque las destroza.
Los niños salieron con suficientes juguetes. A Milan le hemos enseñado a quedarse en ''modo tortuga'' protegiendo sus dulces hasta que llegue algún adulto a ayudarlo.
After a while they decided to break the piñata, because the party was a weekday and we could not extend it too much.
The piñata was fun until Milan came in, we did not know when he had developed that out the thing is that with two blows he almost disarmed it.
My family jokingly shouted ‘'where are the mothers of that child’' referring to my cousin Inés and me, who always take care of him.
I interrupted Milan's participation and from that day on we agreed to leave him last in the piñatas because he destroys them.
The kids came out with enough toys. We have taught Milan to stay in ‘'turtle mode’' protecting his candy until an adult arrives to help him.

Después de la piñata le entregaron a los niños su cotillón. Milan nuevamente me pidió foto con el suyo, en ese momento aproveché y me tomé una foto con Emily pues estaba en su punto más sociable.
Mi primo nos llamó para cantar cumpleaños. Todos nos reunimos para cantar cumpleaños a Emily, su papá estaba súper feliz y su tía Nancy también, ellas agradecen la llegada de Emily a la vida de mi primo pues hizo que mejorara su estilo de vida enormemente.
La niña se asustó por la vela explosiva pero logramos calmarla y que soplara sus velitas.
El cumpleaños de Emily fue breve pero muy bonito, yo por ejemplo valoro mucho el esfuerzo de mi primo pues no actuó como siempre pensamos que actúan los hombres, él fue responsable y ha cumplido con su papel con excelencia.

After the piñata they gave the children their cotillion. Milan again asked me for a picture with his, at that moment I took the opportunity to take a picture with Emily as she was at her most sociable.
My cousin called us to sing birthdays. We all got together to sing Emily's birthday, her dad was super happy and her aunt Nancy too, they are thankful for Emily's arrival in my cousin's life as it improved her lifestyle enormously.
The little girl was scared by the exploding candle but we were able to calm her down and she blew out her candles.
Emily's birthday was short but very nice, I for one appreciate my cousin's effort because he did not act the way we always think men act, he was responsible and has fulfilled his role with excellence.
