Splinterlands celebrates its sixth year anniversary! My experience opening reward chests!

Hello Splinterlands fans! After sharing my previous post about how much fun I had in the world of Splinterlands, in this article, I want to share another joy: the excitement of opening end-of-season rewards.

Yes, indeed, over my two years of playing Splinterlands, the most memorable experience has been opening reward chests. The thrill comes from the surprise of getting a legendary card, usually found among the mix of SPS, DEC, potions, and other rewards in the chests.

In the latest update, players now have the option to open reward chests using either the old or new models. The old method involves opening chests that can contain cards and other rewards. The new method allows you to open cards and receive cards based on the rarity you desire.

I decided to compare my results from opening reward chests using both methods. Here, I’ll share the results of opening three types of chests and discuss the contents I received.

For MINOR CHESTS, the cheapest option, the chances of getting cards are very low. I opened five chests, and here’s what I got:

    Three common cards.
Considering I spent 500 Glint, it seems more beneficial to use the COMMON DRAW method, which guarantees five common cards for the same 500 Glint.

Next, I opened five MAJOR CHESTS, costing 2500 Glint in total. Here are the results:

Potions and 4 energy but no cards. I wasn’t very lucky with these chests.

Lastly, I tried opening five ULTIMATE CHESTS, each costing 2500 Glint. Here’s what I received:

One epic card and nine common cards, all from the Life element, along with potions and merits.

I was quite fortunate with this set since I got an epic card and merits, which I can use to buy a GLADIUS PACK containing five cards. However, considering the Glint I spent, it might be better to use the EPIC DRAW method to get two epic cards.

That’s the outcome of my reward chest opening experiment. Of course, I hope for better luck in the future to snag a legendary card.

With the remaining Glint I had, I tried opening one LEGENDARY DRAW and successfully obtained a legendary monster from the Water element, MUSA SALINE.

What do you think about my reward chest opening results in Splinterlands? May luck be on your side when you open your Splinterlands reward chests!

And, like the advice I received when I was a beginner at Splinterlands, do your research and study all of the games before joining. Because in the world of Blockchain NFT, you will undoubtedly want to invest your assets so that they continue to grow rapidly. And if you make the wrong decision, your assets may decrease.

I've decided to continue with Splinterlands and HIVE. Hopefully, I'll be able to celebrate more years in Splinterlands.
