My name is Okezie Stephen Onyedikachi. I hail from Umuohi-Okija, Anambra state. I am a 500 level student of Medicine and Surgery in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
My passions are reading and writing. Recently, I have begun delving into social reforms, as a social worker; and I have picked an interest in mind sports—chess to be precise. I am also an ardent student and lover of fields related to psychoanalysis. I hope to harness the knowledge garnered in my specialty as a medical practitioner. The specialty will be my secret for now.
I currently hold two vital positions as the Nigerian Medical Students Association Liaison Officer, and the Student Union Government’s Welfare Officer for the Medical Students Hall of Residence. These offices have provided me with the platform to embark on my journey to social reformation. It has helped me with networking and forming alliances, understanding and dealing with all shades of people firsthand, and further given me wider exposure.
I picked interest in writing last year, September to be precise. My mum and some friends from the prestigious essayist group, UNEG have been indispensable to my achievements so far. I can say with certainty that there’s more coming. So far, I have wriiten and submitted 15 essays for various competitions. However, I recently developed a passion for creative writing, as opposed to my former style which was mostly technical. After all, what’s a writer who cannot write creatively? Why wait for competitions before sharing my ideas with the rest of the world. So I knew this would be a giant step.
This blog will serve as an avenue to produce more creative writings, further impacting the lives of my viewers.
