Splinterlands Fourth Season of Glint, Merits and SPS

in voilk •  last month

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I didn't play as much but I still managed to end up in the Champion League like last season.

    Season Rewards

The new system rewards the same number of Glint but some of it was given to the battle rewards. I ended up in Champion III (3,780) and I got 14k Glint as a season reward. This is a lot less than last season but time has been quite short lately. So I haven't had as much time as I would like to get battles in. This season hasn't been that much better either.

The loot chests were added last season and you can read more about it here. I don't exactly like it that much but it's still my preference for these chests because I still need cards from common all the way up to legendary. So I opted for 10 of each chests this season because I didn't earn much Glint. I did see that the limit for batch 1 is higher but I wanted to just see how things would go.

This was the result of the Ultimate Chests that cost 2,500 Glint each and it looks like my luck wasn't there this time around. I didn't get many cards and I didn't hit the jackpot like last time either.

This was the result of 10 major chests and it was a horrible pull. I got 3 out of 10 as cards but they were all common cards.

This was the result of my 10 minor chests and I have to say that it was disappointing. I didn't get anything too great. There were some cards this time around but a single copy of each card.

    Gladius Packs

I have been able to collect 9 packs since the last time I opened packs. I think the new chests did add a few packs because I was able to collect quite a bit of merit. My luck with cards during those chest openings was bad so that merit does make up for it a bit.

I was able to upgrade Cutter Brieze to level 3. This card has bloodlust and increasing its level gave it an extra attack.

I was able to upgrade Kotriphus Bayne to level 4. This card has bloodlust. Upgrading it to level 4 also only gave it an extra speed. If I can level it up one more level, then I can get a new ability though.

I was able to upgrade Palidon Rakk to level 5. This card has bloodlust and stun. The level added the stun ability but it also decreased its health by 1. Either way, that stun can be quite helpful though.

    SPS

My SPS rewards were lower because I didn't do as many ranked battle fights. My brawl rewards did make up for it a bit.

My pool reward for the season is 122.013 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 301.582 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected. I stacked up the VOUCHERS and I did not sell during the wagons earlier this month. So I plan on stacking them for now and waiting for a new opportunity in the future.

    Conclusion

I wasn't lucky this time around my glint rewards were done. Maybe I'll see if I can play more next season and get more glints to open up more chests. I was hoping for some more cards though.
