Drew the above, some days ago, probably inspired by the limbs of The Monster of disco that I clayed into being, recently ( as can be seen in All Clay and No Work
I guess it represents (y)our favorite monster, being in the flow, radiating energy.
Then, yesterday afternoon, after having had a guest over for almost 3 hours to whom I tried to explain my creative process, my creativity came flowing back to me, leading to the following:
In other words: I saw some detached limbs ( arms, legs, tentacles? ) of The Monster of Disco (c)l(a)ying around and suddenly the hands/ feet appeared to be faces and they turned into ( the other ) monsters.
I have mentioned 'the other monsters' several times before, including in a write up, last December titled The Other Monsters.
To quote myself from that post:
the other monsters ( the title of this post ) are basically based on the ( often unhelpful, unless we learn to tame them ) voices in our head.
or this:
I actually spoke about this theme with my guest, yesterday, as we basically conversed about life, including (mental) health and depression and my story, this work in progress, came to mind.
And here's a black pen version that I drew after having slightly reshaped the limbs into monsters.
All of a sudden, the other monsters (parasites?) started moving, trying to make their way towards The Monster of disco, hoping to feed on its awesome energy. Something they are clearly lacking or not able to generate themselves for several reasons that I won't get into.
And here's one more capture of their slow journey,
creeping and crawling with the bit of energy that they have left in them...
Will they make it all the way to The Monster of Disco
and will it be distracted by their low energy and negative voices and lose its flow?
Time will tell.

once I find out.
