Today I headed to the gym for my favorite class so far, Shred. At least it used to be my favorite class, until today. The trainer went pretty aggressive with a combination of circuit workouts that had me struggling to keep form for the full minute in each exercise. The worst circuit was the middle which had push ups, one arm burpees, and then plank walks to end. I failed horribly across each workout throughout the circuits. I t was embarrassing but it only makes me stronger to see the potential of what I should be accomplishing in the future.
I wanted to make the most of the time at the gym before getting home and starting my chores so I also got my core routine on the mat while I was there. I didn’t struggle as much as I thought which I think is telling me that the core is getting better. I did not stretch much so I still need to work on that but I did get to the Spa for some good recovery. I got a good amount of time in both the Steam Room and the Sauna. As I sat there, I started to eye the cold plunge which may be my next adventure so I have it on the list to research soon and give it a time in my upcoming time off where I intend to hit the gym hard ahead of the holidays to end the year stronger in every way possible!
