I'm back again with a great review for this week's entry! It's an astonishing theme we have here— the 2000s. Guess what? It's beautiful watching these artists put their all into the music they create. This community is shaping musical talents that will exude greatness in the nearest future—I feel it within me.
So, without further ado, let's get into my top entries for this week:
1) @jessicaossom with her entry: "Beneath Your Beautiful."
Now, I admire this entry because it's such a difficult song to sing. Real artists know what I'm talking about! I mean, we've seen Jessica bring the best to this table, and she never fails nor lets me down. Being able to take on a song like this requires great expertise, which she displayed effortlessly. My eyes were fixed on her the whole time. Her notes were kept in check; she didn't derail along the line—something I definitely would have done if it were me! She tackled a rough song, and I respect her for challenging herself. Great one!
2) @meyateingi
Her mashup was mind-blowing! To be honest, she nailed it. Combining Afro with hip-hop is a real game-changer. I've seen so many entries, and trust me when I say it takes skill to do a mashup as smooth as this. It felt as though she owned the song. If I hadn't known the original artists, I would have assumed it was hers. As a matter of fact, I actually thought it was hers until she transitioned to Titanium by Sia. This is the perfect definition of creativity and talent in one piece, and it's the reason this is my favorite song entry for this week. Meyateingi killed it, to be honest!
There were many more entries that could keep me going on and on, but nope! I'm not ready to sleep here, lol. 😅
Shoutout to all the amazing artists in the Vibes competition! You guys bring the extra sauce to the game. Everyone is a winner in their own unique way.
