A couple of days ago a friend shared with me a video where they gave some recommendations of miniseries, among them there was only one that I had seen (but honestly I don't remember anything), but among the ones I hadn't seen there was one that caught my attention, because the person who recommended it mentioned that there were some plot twists and that the series swore with you and this is something I enjoy, trying to solve situations by myself before reaching the end of something, so, welcome dear friends of the community, today I want to talk to you about the miniseries called "Clickbait", let's start.

This miniseries released on August 25, 2021 is an Australian-American production that belongs to the Netflix catalog and we could define that its genre is pure and hard suspense that will be felt throughout each of the chapters. Here we will follow the story of Nick Brewer, a family man who is kidnapped and exposed for things he has done, being accused of some behaviors, but his family will try to find out who has kidnapped him, without expecting that things will be taking increasingly murky turns that no one would expect, do you really know Nick?
What happens in the series?
Let's talk a little bit about what happens in the first episode. The episode starts with a family party, everyone seems to be having a nice time until Pia makes a comment that ends up annoying Nick's wife (Nick is Pia's older brother) and generating an argument, which is not shown, but it is understood, so Pia leaves. Pia goes to a nightclub to get drunk, but takes the opportunity to check a dating app, with whom she ends up making a match, but by accident her phone falls into a toilet, so it is turned off and so Pia returns home.

It's a new day and Pia goes to work, here she must attend to a patient/friend with whom she always talks to and he shows her a video where they talk about another video of a man who confessed to rape and that when the video reaches 5 million reproductions he will be killed, out of curiosity they see the video of the subject and Pia discovers that it is her brother who is in the video. Of course, panicking, Pia tries to communicate with Nick, but fails, so she goes to the place where Nick works, but no one has seen him, he even missed a meeting. Worried, Pia heads to Nick's wife Sophie's workplace.

Here the same thing is repeated, they try to contact Nick, but they don't succeed, nobody knows where he is, although it is clear that the video is real, so they go to the police. Here they ask them questions, but there really isn't much they can do, they even try to make sure if what appears in the video is true and Nick abused someone, even if he ever abused them. The whole news starts to go viral, everyone is talking about the video and this only makes the reproductions increase rapidly, so they must try to solve the situation and try to find out who has really kidnapped Nick, because everyone who knows him assures that he is a good man who would not do anything of what he is accused, but is it really so?

My opinion about the series
From here on I will only talk about my opinion about the miniseries, I will not mention any spoiler so you can watch the miniseries on your own. Let's start with the story and from the beginning it is striking the way everything starts to unfold, for example, the use of the internet, with the constant advances in technology we know that anything that reaches the internet can go viral very quickly, so handling a kidnapping case and only have as a clue a video posted on the networks already leaves you quite intrigued by how they will solve it, but the most important thing in the story is what is inside each person involved, making us discover that not everything is what it seems and that touch of suspense is what makes it a great story.
Something that I found very curious in each of the episodes, is that each one has a different title and this title resembles the character who will be the protagonist in much of the episode, so it can give you a slight idea of what character will be focused on, but still the story continues to advance and more pieces of the story in general are being added, but it is interesting to gradually get to know the perspective of each character or what situation they are in at the time when everything is happening, personally I found it a good way to capture the attention, besides touching many interesting topics regarding the world of the internet and its great dangers, certainly a story that invites reflection.

While doing some research on other people's opinions I found out that the opinions are divided between it being good or bad, those who advocate for the second one mention that they didn't like the performances, that some things were too much and personally I have to say that I couldn't say if they were bad, I honestly didn't notice it, I was so focused on the story that I just wanted everything to be revealed, but in my opinion, for me, everyone did a good job, if they managed to keep me that is a good indication and although it is something I have mentioned before, I am not one to look too much at the actors, I usually emphasize when they do well, but I could not say if someone acts completely bad, as I said, for me they did a good production.
At certain moments I was distracted from the story and the reason for this were the cinematographic shots, I was very focused on the colors they were using, in the amount of technical details that I certainly found beautiful, the use of contrast that went hand in hand according to the situation without a doubt I found very good, plus that, the musicality also went according to the situation and according to the character, so it was also important to pay attention to each of the details that tell you little things, clearly the idea is to enjoy the miniseries and not think that it is something complex, but honestly at the audiovisual level I think the film has a very complete work.

Finally and most importantly, this miniseries is full of suspense, from beginning to end, I feel that at no time this is lost and when you think the story begins to bore something happens that gives you back the excitement or at least for me it was so, so I want to mention that the miniseries has several plot twists that are totally unexpected, there came a point in an episode where I was completely sure of what would happen and my surprise was so great when what happened I did not expect it, for this I give many more points to the miniseries, I repeat that many people did not like it, but I loved it, it is a series that I would watch again to notice those details that I did not notice before, so, take advantage that there are only 8 episodes, you can watch it one day and you will not regret it, although I repeat, it all depends on your tastes, but for me it was totally worth it, I enjoyed it and it kept me anxious from beginning to end.
So much for the post, I really hope I have made you discover a miniseries that you can enjoy and add it to your list of productions to watch. It is clearly on Netflix, so you can watch it there. It's not a miniseries for all audiences for obvious reasons, but I assure you it's an interesting story to watch. It's not the best suspense miniseries, but it's not the worst either, it's just a good series to pass the time and enjoy. Personally I give it 4 stars out of 5. Hace un par de días una amiga me compartió un video donde daban algunas recomendaciones de miniseries, entre ellas solo había una que había visto (pero que honestamente no recuerdo nada), pero entre las que no había visto surgió una que llamó mucho mi atención, porque quien la recomendaba mencionaba que había unos giros de trama y que la serie juraba contigo y esto es algo que disfruto, intentar resolver situaciones por mi cuenta antes de llegar al final de algo, por lo que, sean bienvenidos queridos amigos de la comunidad, el día de hoy quiero hablarles de la miniserie llamada “Clickbait”, comencemos.

Esta miniserie estrenada el 25 de agosto del año 2021 es una producción australiana-estadounidense que pertenece al catálogo de Netflix y podríamos definir que su género es el suspenso puro y duro que se sentirá a lo largo de cada uno de los capítulos. Aquí seguiremos la historia de Nick Brewer, un padre de familia que es secuestrado y expuesto por cosas que ha hecho, siendo acusado de algunos comportamientos, pero su familia intentará descubrir quién lo ha secuestrado, sin esperar que las cosas irán dando unos giros cada vez más turbios que nadie esperaría, ¿realmente conocen a Nick?
¿Qué sucede en la serie?
Hablemos un poco de lo que sucede en el primer episodio. El episodio comienza con una fiesta familiar, todos parecen estar pasando un momento agradable hasta que Pia hace un comentario que termina molestando a la esposa de Nick (Nick es el hermano mayor de Pia) y generando una discusión, la cual no es mostrada, pero se entiende, por lo que Pia se marcha. Pia se va a una discoteca para emborracharse, pero aprovecha de revisar una app de citas, con quien termina haciendo un match, pero por accidente su teléfono cae en un inodoro, por lo que se apaga y así Pia regresa a su casa.

Es un nuevo día y Pia se dirige a su trabajo, aquí debe atender a un paciente/amigo con el cual siempre habla y este le muestra un video donde hablan de otro video de un hombre que confesó una violación y que cuando el video llegue a 5 millones de reproducciones será asesinado, por curiosidad ven el video del sujeto y Pia descubre que es su hermano el que sale en el video. Por supuesto, entrando en pánico, Pia intenta comunicarse con Nick, pero no lo logra, por lo que se dirige al lugar donde trabaja Nick, pero nadie le ha visto, incluso faltó a una reunión. Preocupada, Pia se dirige al lugar de trabajo de Sophie, la esposa de Nick.

Aquí se repite lo mismo, intentan contactar a Nick, pero no lo logran, nadie sabe dónde está, aunque es claro que el video es real, por lo que acuden a la policía. Aquí les hacen preguntas, pero realmente no hay mucho que puedan hacer, incluso intentan asegurarse si lo que aparece en el video es cierto y Nick abusó de alguien, incluso si alguna vez abusó de ellas. Toda la noticia comienza a volverse viral, todos hablan sobre el video y esto solo logra que las reproducciones aumenten rápidamente, por lo que deben intentar solucionar la situación e intentar descubrir quién realmente ha secuestrado a Nick, porque todos quienes le conocen aseguran que es un buen hombre que no haría nada de lo que se le acusa, pero ¿realmente es así?

Mi opinión sobre la serie
A partir de aquí solo hablaré de mi opinión sobre la miniserie, no mencionaré ningún spoiler para que se animen a ver la miniserie por su cuenta. Comencemos con la historia y es que desde un principio se me hace llamativa la manera en que todo se empieza a desenvolver, por ejemplo, el uso del internet, con las constantes avances de la tecnología sabemos que cualquier cosa que llega a internet puede volverse viral muy rápidamente, por lo que manejar un caso de un secuestro y solo tener como pista un video publicado en las redes ya te deja bastante intrigado por cómo van a resolverlo, pero lo más importante en la historia es lo que hay dentro de cada persona que participa, haciéndonos descubrir que no todo es lo que parece y ese toque de suspenso es lo que lo hace una gran historia.
Algo que me pareció muy curioso en cada uno de los episodios, es que cada uno tiene un título distinto y este título se asemeja al personaje el cual será el protagonista en gran parte del episodio, por lo que te puede dar una leve idea de en qué personaje va a estar enfocado, pero aun así la historia sigue avanzando y se van sumando más pedazos de la historia en general, pero es interesante ir conociendo poco a poco la perspectiva de cada personaje o en qué situación se encuentra en el momento en que todo está ocurriendo, en lo personal me pareció una buena manera de captar la atención, además de tocar muchos temas interesantes con respecto al mundo del internet y sus grandes peligros, sin duda una historia que invita a la reflexión.

Mientras investigaba un poco sobre opiniones de otras personas descubrí que las opiniones están divididas entre que es buena o que es mala, quienes abogan por la segunda mencionan que no les gustaron las actuaciones, que algunas cosas estuvieron de más y en lo personal yo debo decir que no podría opinar si fueron malas, honestamente no me percaté de ello, estaba tan concentrado en la historia que solo quería que todo se revelara, pero en mi opinión, para mí todos hicieron un buen trabajo, si lograron mantenerme ya eso es un buen indicativo y aunque es algo que he mencionado antes, yo no soy de fijarme mucho en los actores, suelo recalcar cuando lo hacen bien, pero no sabría decir si alguien actúa del todo mal, como dije, para mí hicieron un buen trabajo.
En ciertos momentos me distraía de la historia y la razón de esto eran los planos cinematográficos, estaba muy centrado en los colores que estaban usando, en la cantidad de detalles técnicos que sin duda me parecieron preciosos, el uso del contraste que iban de la mano según la situación sin dudas me pareció muy bueno, además que, la musicalidad también iba según la situación y según el personaje, así que también era importante prestar atención a cada uno de los detalles que te van contando pequeñas cositas, claramente la idea es disfrutar la miniserie y no pensar que es algo complejo, pero honestamente a nivel audiovisual me parece que la película tiene un trabajo muy completo.

Por último y lo más importante, esta miniserie está llena de mucho suspenso, de principio a fin, siento que en ningún momento se pierde esto y cuando crees que la historia empieza a aburrir sucede algo que te devuelve la emoción o al menos para mí fue así, por lo que quiero mencionar que la miniserie tiene varios giros de tramas que son totalmente inesperados, llegó un punto en algún episodio donde yo estaba completamente seguro de lo que sucedería y mi sorpresa fue tan grande cuando lo que sucedió no me lo esperaba, por esto le doy muchos más puntos a la miniserie, repito que a muchas personas no les gustó, pero a mí me encantó, es una serie que volvería a ver para fijarme en esos detalles que no me percaté antes, así que, aprovechen que son solo 8 episodios, pueden verla un mismo día y no se van a arrepentir, aunque repito, todo depende de sus gustos, pero para mí valió totalmente la pena, la disfruté y me mantuvo angustiado de principio a fin.
Hasta aquí la publicación, realmente espero haberles hecho descubrir una miniserie que puedan disfrutar y que la sumen a su lista de producciones por ver. Se encuentra en Netflix claramente, así que pueden verla allí. No es una miniserie para todo público por obvias razones, pero les aseguro que es una historia interesante de ver. No es la mejor miniserie de suspenso, pero tampoco es la peor, solo es una buena serie para pasar el tiempo y disfrutarla.
