God Wants Us To Let Go

God just gave me a good revelation.

You know how different people dress from different eras. Like, there's the 90s people, the ones that dress from the 70s. Like, different eras of people dressing, even though the trend has already passed or the time zone has already passed. People who still dress in another time, like, from another era.

So, I asked God, I was like, well, God, why do people do that? Like, why is that, like, a thing?

Not that I was hating or nothing, but.

And he began to speak to me prophetically. He said, their lives have become a reflection of a season that their hearts could not let go of. He said, this is you can wear the same offense and unforgiveness years after an event has taken place.

When your heart is in another era and another season, you can't move forward. This is why poverty mentality and religious tendencies can move from generation to generation and people can still be stuck in the same cycles. It's because instead of moving forward, you got comfortable with what sustained you in another season.

It was fine to hold on to that relationship then. It was fine to hold on to that friendship then because God sent it for that season. But when it's time to let go, it's time to move forward.

A lot of times our excuse is, oh, I've known them for a long time. Oh, they've always been there for me. God has been there before you were born. If the one who was perfect and does not need to change is leading you away from something else, wouldn't he only be leading you to something that's going to draw you closer to him?

Wouldn't he only be leading you to something that's going to make you more like him? Wouldn't he only be leading you towards something that's going to change you for the better?

My Bible says that he only has plans to prosper me and never to harm me, plans to give me a future and hope.

There's some eras you got to let go of so that you can walk into some new ones. It's time to walk into your healing era. It iss going to be uncomfortable, but it's necessary.

Trust that while God is leading you into something new, he's leading you away from things that are old.
