Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. FC Barcelona's midfield has been sensational this season, and I have to admit it all thanks to Hansi Flick that we are seeing generational midfielders in this modern era at the club. Frenkie De Jong has been incredible this past week, which is amazing to see because I can remember a month ago, the Dutchman received a lot of backlash from Barca fans and the media as well for his performance on the pitch, and it got to a point some fans wanted the Dutchman to leave the club in the summer.

The problem with some Barcelona fans is that they are too quick to write off a player without giving them a chance to improve, and that same pattern was used against Raphinha, but look where we are now with the Brazilian as he is leading the race for the Ballon d'Or, plus is already on 40g/a and writing are still in February. Raphinha scored more goals than Vinicius last season, who thought he would be taking home the Ballon d'Or last year but got outclassed by Rodri as the Spanish midfielder was giving the award.

Hansi Flick has revived Frenkie De Jong, as we can clearly see the Dutchman claiming his spot back in the starting lineup in recent matches for Barcelona. Frenkie De Jong is arguably one of the best midfielders, but he is just underrated. Pedri, so far this season, has been an absolute class, and that is a fact. When I said a fully fit Pedri is better than Bellingham, some people thought that I was crazy, but the truth is if you judge Pedri by stats, then you are not ready to see the light.

Pedri is the definition of a proper midfielder who is on the pitch, and he does his stuff every time he is on the pitch. In the match against Sevilla, Pedri got the Man of the Match award, and guess what? From the stats, he only got an assist, but if you watch Pedri for the full 90 minutes of the match, then you will know why that award was given to Pedri. I have written this before, and I will do it again. Pedri offers way more on the pitch than Bellingham because Bellingham, without a goal, is nothing on the pitch, but for Pedri, it is a whole different level as he dictates the rhythm of the game and controls it effortlessly every time.

The midfielder I feel sorry for in the Barcelona squad is Pablo Torre, who is a great player, but he is not getting enough game time under Hansi Flick. Pablo Torre has shown his stuff in the few matches he has played, and I believe he will be exceptional once he gets more playing time. I just hope Hansi Flick doesn't totally neglect Torre and gives him matches so he can continue to improve and give his best for the club. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.
